FOOD SCRAPS GO IN THE GREEN BIN
Please use your green bin for all food scraps including fruit and vegetables, tea bags and coffee grounds, dairy products, egg and oyster shells, bones, meat and seafood, as well as paper towels and tissues.
Council provides each household with a kitchen organics basket and annual supply of compostable bags to make it easy. To organise a kitchen organics basket contact Council.

HARD WASTE COLLECTION
Head to eastwaste.com.au to book one free ‘at call’ collection per financial year.
ADDITIONAL BINS
Residents can lease up to two additional yellow bins and two additional green bins from Council. Fees apply.

HAZARDOUS WASTE
Head to burnside.sa.gov.au and search ‘hazardous waste’ for further information.
E-WASTE
E-waste must not be placed in household bins. There are several locations where e-waste can be taken.

KERBSIDE BIN PLACEMENT
Bins should be placed 1 metre apart at kerbside by 6 am on your collection day. Please remove bins from kerbside on the day they are emptied.
