THE FORECAST
There were four overarching influences that informed this year’s Design Directions forecast:
Our Own Backyard
We embrace and celebrate the diversity of our landscape
as we tune in closer to the seasons.
Journey to Wellbeing
We welcome the shift to daily self-care rituals, more
deeply absorbed in our surroundings.
Tradition Meets Contemporary
As comfort is found in familiarity, storytelling
and classicism are sought to connect spaces.
A Good Time
A yearning to escape the everyday means life blooms in the joy of adventurous colours
and statement silhouettes.
3
THE PROCESS
The range development process begins with a considered review of architectural movements given the importance of a building’s features
in shaping its interior and how its residents live.
Our focus is to create a beautiful furniture and homewares collection for diverse spaces and our design intent is to offer new silhouettes,
textures and colours that will be loved forever.
We then consider how Australians requirements for their homes and commercial spaces may be impacted by shifting lifestyle,
social, economic, cultural and technological environments.
WHAT’S CHANGED
Whilst our inspirations still originate from multiple sources, including architecture, art, fashion, music and more, the events of 2020/21
concluded international travel – previously a cornerstone of our product development process.
This has forced adaptation of the way we work in almost every way, but embedded innovative thinking, flexibility and a culture of digital collaboration. By embracing the challenges, we believe we
have delivered our most beautiful collection ever.

“In Collections 2022, we look to embolden spaces with adventurous colours and statement silhouettes that stir a sense of playfulness and joy in the home.” Keti Lytras, Head of Creative
There were six aesthetic themes that underpinned our latest collection.
We hope that the visuals and words in this, our fourth Design Directions forecast, bring you inspiration as you create unique interiors with the diverse silhouettes, textures, materials and colours in Collections 2022.

Solace is savoured in moments of grandeur, as sculptural forms are balanced with grace.
A sense of presence is met in etch detailing and carved channelling whilst sculptural shaping and exaggerated curves imbue stillness.
The smooth materiality of classic marble sits beside monolithic forms, cut pile rugs and textural weaves.
Moody grey hues, bluestone and gunmetal mix with dark oaks and snow bouclé to soothe the senses.
