The 2025 Master Plan for Athletic Facilities embraces a core concept of the 2025 Facility MasterPlan to maintain the university’s unique identity by preserving the best architectural, landscapeand planning elements of the historic campus and incorporating them into new areas ofdevelopment.

The principles that guided the development of the plan are to:

• Provide student-athletes the best opportunity to become lifelong champions, to compete and succeed at the conference and NCAA championship level, and to achieve academic success;

• Optimize the quality of overall student-athlete experience, student-life experience, coaching and staff experience and fan experience;

• Assure financial integrity;

• Align with the university’s strategic plan and the strategic goal to expand the reach of the university;

• Align with the university’s 2025 Facility Master Plan (Oct. 2008); and
