Dr.HeatherShearerjoinedUCSCin2012,andshehasbeenteachingwritingattheuniversitylevelsince1999.Herresearchinterestsincludemulti-lingualstudents’useofsecondarysourcematerial;thedesignandtestingoftextualtoolsthataremeanttosupportcomplexuse;andactivity-theoreticalperspectivesontextuseinorganizations.
Dr.TonyaRitolaisafacultymemberintheWritingProgramatUCSC.She’sbeenteachingcollege-levelwritingsince2004.Herpublicationsandresearchfocusoninstitutionalrhetorics,writingprogramadministration,andwritingcentertheoryandpractice.Inaddition,sheistheassessmentleadfortheWritingProgram.
