From The Principal……….
Hi Everyone
Grade 5/6 Camp
The Grade 5/6 camp organisation is well underway and the students are very
excited. The campers leave on Monday 26th September and return on
Wednesday 28th. We hope they have a fantastic time exploring Melbourne.
Swimming Program
Swimming program starts for our Prep – 2 students next week. This is a very
valuable program considering that we live in a country surrounded by water
and the dams and rivers in this country region. Please remember to check the
schedule for dates and times.
Book Week
A reminder that assembly will be at 9.00am this Friday morning on the Astro
Turf (weather permitting). We look forward to seeing all of the students’
dressed as book characters to celebrate Book Week.
Prep Discovery Day
Remember to book in for our Discovery Day activities for prospective Preps
in 2014. We look forward to meeting lots of new parents and their children
on that day.
Have a great week,
Denise Barker

Bookclub
Book Club order forms will be given to students on Thurs 22nd August . The due back date is Thurs 29th August . Unfortunately, late orders will be not be accepted. Please ensure that you put your name on the order.
If you pay online you still need to send your order and your credit card receipt number to school so we can include your order with the school order.
We have had a number of orders without names on them. This makes it very difficult for the ordered books to be giv-en to correct people. Please make sure that your childs name and class is on the top of the form to ensure that you recieve your books.
2013 Homework Club
For students in grade 3-6, the Homework
Club runs on a Thursday afternoon in the Library from 3.10 pm—4.15 pm.
This is a great opportunity to complete homework tasks, to access
resources from the library or to get a bit of help from a teacher.
Permission forms can be collected from the office.
Happy Birthday

Grade 1 Special Visitors Day Last Tuesday afternoon, the Old Hall was transformed into a mini Museum with many varied & wonderful creations made by
the Grade 1 students. A big thank-you to all the parents, grandparents and visitors who came along to enjoy the talents of their
children and to appreciate the concept of creating new ‘things’ out of recycled materials. Here are some photos and recounts of
this special event.

Author’s Display
Hi all,
Please make time to visit our beautiful school library this week or next where the students have displayed their studies of fa-
mous author’s. Posters and blurbs, books and pictures are on display covering many authors such as Jackie French, Colin
Thompson, Pamela Allen, Mem Fox and of course Dr Seuss! Whilst visiting our school pop in to the Prep open shared space to
see their mural on Lynley Dodd’s famous Hairy Maclary!

Parent Information…..
Parents please
note re Lunch
Orders-
Following discussions with the Kilmore Bakery it
has come to our attention that the amount of money
shortages in students lunch orders is increasing.
We understand that on occasions this is accidental
ie lost money, however the following will occur
for future money shortages.
If there is insufficient money in envelopes, students
will be supplied with their main item of food and
anything aside will not be supplied.
Current lunch order menus with prices are available
from the office.
Thanks for your cooperation
