 this is always an interesting event...the annual foreign-language film symposium...except that sometimes some of the staff who work this event can be a bit nasty...It may have been Juan Dominguez who made a sarcastic joke at one of the persons in line...if I read the name right on the nametag...he seemed to be condescending about the way one of the persons in line was dressed, treating him as an inferior ...; who does Juan think he is ? SOme of these people get a superiority complex just because they work as a low-level person for the Academy; maybe only a high school degree...yet they become all

high & mighty simply because they work at this building, yet may know NOTHING at all about film-making, movies, ...maybe not even interested in the topic; in fact you would think so if you every try to engage them about any of the films...you will likely get a blank-face "I just work here" attitude, yet nonetheless a supercillious attitude..; I wish the superiors at this building would take some of them to task for their bad attitudes...it's really a shame...on the biggest weekend of the year that some of them come to work without a care in the world about the significance of it all, and treat some of the people who showed up at 8am for standby tickets as if they were low-level scum. Shame on some of you at the Academy theatre on Wilshire. Fortunately, there are mostly good staff at this place, but just a bad few as they say tend to "ruin the whole batch". Juan Dominguez if I read the

nametag right, shame on you for thinking you are better than us !
