The exhibition reflects the heavy acoustics of the entire G99 gallery space The artist reflects on the given issue from the point of view of space and the heterogeneity of time inconspicuously transformed in an abstract if not relative form She composes special sound waves deepening the com-plexity of time organisation in the gallery space Sound becomes a start-ing point for a certain wound or tenderness Following the first room of sound pollution she creates a contrast in the second room a so-called empty space ndash vacuum Several wafting high-frequency sounds reaching our physical bodies suddenly change in utter asceticism and the sterility of empty space The ldquosound-devoidrdquo experiment then constrains the visitor to a different perception than through the eyes as we are used to

The project is a collaboration between artist Miklos Gaaacutel and myself

The music for video Silbersee was inspired from the grains of the pho-tography The transparency and Navratilrsquos interposition from the photo-graphs In this piece I explored the color and shape of noise as an ode to the grains and the chemical results of such contaminated environment I portrayed the static approach of photography with the use of percussive minimal sounds and synths like the way dots of unmixed color are juxta-posed on a white ground

Hmm is principally about search and disorder the objects and the human figure set in the space engage in a dialogue and mutual exploration Feeling her way shuffling stumbling through a world that seems to have no cohesion a confusing universe in which objects and sounds seem to have no meaning a narrative emerges Hmm explores the transition from chaos to order from senselessness to meaning from indiscriminate sound to language An intimate dependent sensual at times violent and frag-mentary experience of the universe

Hmm is principally about search and disorder the objects and the human figure set in the space engage in a dialogue and mutual exploration Feeling her way shuffling stumbling through a world that seems to have no cohesion a confusing universe in which objects and sounds seem to have no meaning a narrative emerges Hmm explores the transition from chaos to order from senselessness to meaning from indiscriminate sound to language An intimate dependent sensual at times violent and frag-mentary experience of the universe

The music for video Resurrections was inspired by Navratilrsquos idea of phan-tasmagoric visions transparency rationality violence and fragility We spoke about the process of making gelatin one of the essences in pho-tography I played with the overlapping of sounds and juxtaposition of colourstimbre which is something I do constantly when I create music Creation of music constellations that juxtapose in the same universe It was important to portrait the fragility and intensity of the material itself In this piece I combined pure electronic sounds and acoustic processed instruments such as the bass drum bells and strings

Enchanted Forest in the area that is covering the former Bohemian Forest which has been divided between the Bavarian and Šumava Natural Parks The parks belong to Germany and the Czech Republic correspond- ingly They start to notice while they were tracking Red Deer population as a control routine that Red Deer females from both countries are not crossing the former Iron Curtain border even though the fence has been removed since 1989

Speech Perceptions refers to the processes of humans or objects (that produce sound) use in order to be able to interpret and understand sound in a musical or language context I have tried to combine two worlds In one the flow has a more articulated and spoken material and in the other time will be more stationary and condense with pointillist constellations that will articulate the space in a very subtle way All these being a matter of rhetoric and speech perceptions

Las casas del ferrocarril was an investigation of opposites Extremes in register high and low

In dynamics loud and soft

In texture dense subtle rough disperse silence

The piece was inspired from a rough neighbourhood in Bogotaacute called Las casas del ferrocarril (the houses from the railways) also known as ldquoEl cinturon de pobrezardquo (poverty belt) I was chocked by the extremes of hier- archies in societies how could people live so well and others in terrible conditions It hit me As a result I was looking for beauty in extremes and diversity in timbre was in search of unifications
