Reading Workshop:-Wrapped up Author’s Message-Started a short study of visualizing the story
Writing Workshop/Word Study:-Opinion Writing: Writing Reviews-Fact vs. Opinion-February Letters-onset and rime/rhyme
Math Workshop:-geometric shapes-patterns/symmetry
If you are looking for something to do at home: -Having students start thinking about hours and half hours when they do things at home would help give them some more background knowledge. -Point out any graphs you see in the real world.-Ask students to compare the length of two things. Which is longer/taller? -Continue to have them counting, using dimes, pennies and other coins.
Content : -February STEM Challenge: Students can still turn these in on Monday.-Food Chains as transfer of energy-States of Matter
