PROGRAM OVERVIEWThis program is designed to assist physicians in caring for patients with common and complex cardiovascular problems with emphasis on practical incorporation of the most recent advances into clinical practice.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVESthe following address the aCGme/aBms “medical Knowledge” and “Compassionate, appropriate & effective patient Care” Competencies: Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to better evaluate, or be updated on: congestive heart failure; devices used in heart failure; biomarkers in heart failure; arrhythmia-induced cardiomyopathy; acute and chronic coronary artery disease syndromes; cardiogenic shock; new antiplatelet therapy; valvular heart disease; trans-catheter aortic valve replacement and mitral valve repair; atrial fibrillation; arrhythmias; novel anticoagulants; heparin monitoring and resistance; congenital heart disease; advanced treatments for DVT and PE; patent foramen ovale treatment; preventive cardiology; lipids; cardiovascular risk of diabetes; cardiac MRIs; and recent trials and their impact on clinical practice.
WhO ShOuld ATTEnd This course is intended for cardiologists, generalists, and all primary care providers/practitioners seeking an update in cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

hOTEl ACCOMMOdATIOnSOcean Edge Conference Center is located on Cape Cod in Brewster, Massachusetts. It is a one and one-half to two-hour drive from Boston or a 12-mile drive from the Barnstable Municipal Airport (Hyannis), which has daily air service from New York, Hartford, and Boston.
In addition to being an excellent conference facility, Ocean Edge offers multiple recreational activities, including a championship golf course, tennis courts, swimming pools, exercise rooms, and biking and jogging trails.
A block of rooms has been reserved at a special rate for registrants attending this seminar. The block includes hotel rooms on the Mansion (ocean) side of the property, and villas on the (Villages) golf course side of the property. To reserve a room in this block, you must indicate that you are registered for the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center Cardiology Conference.
