mufflers,footwearsetc.Inknitting,twothinplasticormetalrodsarerequiredunlikewhatis

usedincrocheting.

Duringthelesson,theproductsofembroidery,crochetingandknittinghavebeenmentioned.

Theirusesarefamiliartous.Examplemufflerswhichareusedforcoveringtheneckincold

weather,headrestusedforcoveringthepartofthechairswhereonereststheheadwhilesitting

What does patriotism or nationalconsciousness and unity imply?National consciousness in relationto unity implies having genuine andstrong feeling for one's countryabove any other interest, which canmake an individual to sacrifice or letgo of anything in order to protect orpromote or even die for the good ofhis or her country.While UNITY implies the state ofbeing in agreement and workingtogether for a common purpose.

Note that patriotism leads to unitywhich makes the people of anyplace to pursue a common goal.

What are the factors that can aid orpromote unity in home, school,society?

can promote unity: Common economic system andexperiences, for example, marketingof products which is the exchangingof goods among the different groupsof people in Nigeria; inter-tribalmarriages, common historicalexperiences, National Youth ServiceCorp (N.Y.S.C), unity schools, sportsand national cultural festivals,federal character commission whichpromotes Nigerians of differentcultural backgrounds to work indifferent parts of the country,Nigeria Defence Academy (N.D.A.),recognizing one another'simportance or self worth anywhere,respecting and being loyal andtruthful to one another and so on.

What are the ways to sustain ormaintain unity?

Some ways to sustain or maintainunity are by being:tolerant, fair to all, sincere, honest,

Further more, unity can also bemaintained by different people ofdifferent backgrounds throughsports (football), politics (elections,campaigns).

Finally, if we must have unity andpeace in our homes and in thesociety, we must know how toaccept and live with religiousdifferences, cultural tolerance,tribalism, avoid corruption andcheating others, and so on.
