2D ANIMATION Cody V. Herzing Student 2D animation has been around since the 1800’s and involves creating two-dimensional characters, backgrounds and storyboards. 2D animation has evolved from using hand drawn images to using computer-based software such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Flash and After Effects to create and edit images, but it still plays an important role in the world of animation today. This program provides a well-rounded curriculum and prepares students with the skills and competencies needed to pur- sue a career in TV, movie production and more. Areas of study include introduction to animation and animation software, arcs, anticipation, drawing, posing, character rigging, character animation and more. Program length: 12 months (20 hours/week) includes 6 week internship ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Minimum of a Canadian high school grade 12 or equivalent, or a mature student Pass an entrance assessment administered by Herzing College Be interviewed in detail regarding interest in the field Meet any additional program specific entrance requirements

2D animation has been around since the 1800’s and involves creating two-dimensional characters, backgrounds and

storyboards. 2D animation has evolved from using hand drawn images to using computer-based software such as Toon

Boom Harmony, Adobe Flash and After Effects to create and edit images, but it still plays an important role in the world

This program provides a well-rounded curriculum and prepares students with the skills and competencies needed to pur-
