1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The present document described the connection between our HV cable terminal and the Pfisterer female socket. This enclosure is mounted directly on a flange of the PASS and is assembled to the flange of insulating disc, under Current Transformer or by means enclosure of adaptation. All the parts form only one vessel which is pressurized of SF6 gas as PASS. Our cable end/termination is suitable to house both traditional and “plug-in” cable connection according to IEC 60859. When the Cable End is “Plug-in” type the “Female part” can be installed in our factory, this operation must be agreed with our Project Manager during project kick-off meeting.

Please reference to the following Pfisterer Connex 5s (drawing 827695101A2) in fig. 2 Pfisterer Connex 6 (drawing 827692A2) in fig. 3 and for the connection details. Our standard connection foresees the 757mm connection.

2. MAIN COMPONENTS TO BE ACQUIRED BY CUSTOMER. The customer must supply the following components:

2.1 Connex 5s The components required by ABB ADDA are the follow: �

a. CONNEX connectors, size 5S, 145 kV (dwg nr. 859 999 999) b. CONNEX sockets (bushings), size 5S, 145 kV (dwg nr. 827 695 101) c. CONNEX IEC adapters ( 757 mm), size 5S +6 (dwg nr. 827 704 001) ��

2.2 Connex 6 The components required by ABB ADDA are the follow: a. CONNEX Connectors, size 6, 170 kV (dwg nr. 869 999 999). b. CONNEX sockets (bushings), size 6, 170 kV (dwg nr. 827 692 102) c. CONNEX IEC adapters ( 757 mm), size 6, 170 kV (dwg nr. 827 704 001) HV Female Socket 170kV size 6 827692002 (without cap tap and without o-ring)

2.3 Extension for both Connex 5s and Connex 6. The extension must be: 827704001 (this to fit the length 757 mm as per option 2)

Finally, ABB IT is not responsible for the selection of the HV terminal male and the coordination with the HV cable. This part is completely under customer responsibility.
