Humanitarian Faculty TSU. Reflection of buddha religion in Manas epic

The epic Manas is one of historical ethnographical root of research of the Buddhism religion. The variations of Manas tellers S. Karalaev and S. Orosbak uulu contain the amount of information on this religion. The epic tells about Buddha through the terminology which contains such key words as: but, butkhana, kut, burkhana, laylama, laanat or laanat-maanat and others. These terms of Buddhism meet on historical writings which appears in archeological foundations, that founded in territory of Kyrgyz Republic. The materials of this article dedicate to terminology of Buddhism, which is written in the epic that showed the reality of historical events.

Kyrgyz Cultural History in BahaeddinOgels Works. There is a lot of information of Kyrgyz culture and life before Soviet period in scientists and

travelers works. Most of them having been used, but some of them are becoming available to the scientific world only now. One of such works is BahaeddinOgels History of Culture. In this work there is given some ofinformation of Kyrgyz housing, meal, wearing, animal husbandry, nomad life, gun, military prowess, musical instruments, proverbs and tradition. The report consists of information taken from nine-tome book the history of culture written by BahaeddinOgel.

The tragic events of 1916 Kyrgyz called the characteristic word Urkun. However, this title became the object of discussion in the Kyrgyz society. Comes to the fact that some public figures believe that the word Urkun humiliates Kyrgyz. Is it really the word humiliates Kyrgyz? In this paper the author tried to explain the etymology of the word Urkun based on the historical and folk sources.

Doctoral student, KTMU Methods of punishment in the Kyrgyz traditional court system

Before our nation joined the Russian Empire, all social and administrative crimes were prosecuted by the judicial system, which which has been functioning since the ancient times. Traditional law appeared from political, social, economic and traditional rules of behavior that controlled the domestic lives of the Kyrgyz nation. Moreover, it was controlled by social power. Legal procedure processed by authoritative people of Kyrgyz nation biys. (Biy means court of Kyrgyz people and authoritative person who govern tribes). The higher level of governor of Kyrgyz nation called biy in XVII-XIX. At the same time the functions of biy included higher authority and institute of justice. In this dissertation broadly exposed the history, function and evolution of the title of biy. This article discusses the process of Methods of punishment in the Kyrgyz traditional court system.
