Join Us for an Exciting Season of Shows for the Entire Family!INSIDE! Details about 25 upcoming events! Tickets are on sale now!
Bring your favorite children for a fun sing-and-dance-a-long concert! A live Debbie and Friends show is a trip for the entire audience—a joyful jaunt through a variety of styles, from straight-ahead pop, to country, to rock, to reggae, all delivered by a band of musicians who are clearly there because they love it. Kids become the Big Bad Wolf and blow the house down, fix Rosie’s wrong rhymes, and test their skills with the Simon Says Song. This full-band performance stars Debbie Cavalier and a cast of top-shelf musi-cians from Boston’s Berklee College of Music. Check out Debbie’s songs and cartoons at www.debbieandfriends.net/fun.php!

We welcome Magician Stephen Knight from Ohio for a spooky Halloween treat! Magic of the Night is a full-stage theatrical experience that is perfect for all ages. Imagine Disney’s Haunted Mansion playing host to a Las Vegas magic show, and you’re getting the idea. But instead of a lovely showgirl being cut in half, it might just be a zombie who gets sliced in two!
Since 2006 audiences have marveled at the magic and illusions happening live on stage right before their eyes. And hold onto your seats for the hair-raising finale, when the ghosts finally take control of the theater!
Magic of the Night contains NO blood or gore - it’s just good, clean, haunted Halloween fun for the entire family.

The Calvert FamilySays “Thank You”
Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those tran-scendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.
John Milton
The Calvert’s thank you. The donations made to help with Terrance’s bills have relieved the stomach churning when the bills are coming in. The Summer Stage family effort and care lavished on our family continue to enfold us. We are so grateful for your extra work for the benefit and most of all, such loving kindness.

Summer Stage Honoredat the Barrymores
On October 3 the Walnut Street Theatre played host to the Barrymore Awards, honoring the achievements of the Philadelphia theater com-munity. Organized by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia, the Barrymores are the “Tony’s” for Philly actors and theaters and 27 awards were presented. Summer Stagers were among the nominees, including Terrence J. Nolen, Rachel Camp and Jennie Eisenhower.
It was my great honor to receive this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award and I accepted it on behalf of the entire Summer Stage com-munity. Over the past 36 seasons hundreds of staff members have adopted the Summer Stage philosophy and have passed on their passion for theater to our members. In turn our Summer Stage performers and technicians have shared the magic inside of them with our audiences. Thousands of our audience members have lavished us with their applause and support.
Summer Stage is a magical place because so many people believe in what we do and put their hearts and souls into it each season. In honoring me the Barrymores honored all of us at Summer Stage and I salute all of you who are part of our success! Thank you to all who made it special by your attendance or your kind expressions of congratulations. It was a great night for Summer Stage!
