Please find enclosed the Guidelines for Applicants to Kanazawa UniversityShort-term Exchange Program (2018-2019)and the application forms for each exchangeprograms (Program A, C,D and E). Itwouldbe highly appreciated if you could recommendyour students to these programs by the date mentioned below.
Please also refer to the attached Notes on Recommendation of Students in makingyour recommendation.
Regarding the application form for Program B, we will send it to you around theend ofDecember 2017 (It depends on the announcement by Japanese Government.).
1. ApplicationDeadlinesApplication documents should arrive at our university by
November 20, 2017: for Program C,D and E (beginning inApril)February 28,2018: for ProgramA, C,D and E (beginning in October)
2. Application Procedure[Program A, C,D, E]The application form should be sent by email [email protected] Excelformat, together with additional documents in PDF format.[Program B]The application documents should be sent by post. In case it is difficult to meet thedeadlines, please fax the applications first prior to the deadline, and send the originaldocuments by express mail later.
3. Notes- The guidelines and the application forms may be downloaded from the

[Notes on Recommendation of Students]
1. As it is required to report to Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) thestudent's academic performance in order for himlher to receive the scholarship, pleasemention in the recommendation form of Program A, C and E the applicant's rankbased on hislher overall academic performance in the department which helshebelongs to at your university. Also, if there is more than one student you would liketo recommend for a program, please indicate for each of them the order ofrecommendation priorities by using numbers.
2. If your institution has concluded a memorandum on mutual tuition waiver withKanazawa University, students of up to the number specified in the memorandumshall have their tuition waived unless other exchange program doesn't use the tuitionwaiver quota. Regarding tuition in the academic year 2018, please refer to the ''TheGuidelines forApplicants to Kanazawa University Short-term Exchange Programs".
3. An applicant can apply for only one program from Program A, B, C,D or E.
4. Please note that some students cannot be accepted when we have more applicantsthan the maximum number of students to be admitted in a program, and enrollmentin the program does not guarantee that the student could receive the scholarship.
