3. Science Dictionary

Criteria:Create your own science dictionary by choosing at least 25 science terms related to the unit (approx. 12 scientific Method, 8 safety, 5 equipment and graphing)

• Each term needs a definition which clearly describes the meaning in your own words• Each term needs a picture which accurately displays the term if applicable • The dictionary can be handed in as a book, as flashcards, or in an online version. You

can confirm with me whether or not your formate is acceptable.• The dictionary should include a creative cover• The dictionary is due at the end of each unit

Alphabetical Order

Science Pictures

If applicable each term has a picture which accurately displays the vocabulary word. All pictures are neatly displayed.

1-2 applicable term is without a picture; however, pictures shown accurately display vocabulary words. Most pictures are neatly displayed.

3-4 applicable terms are without pictures; however, pictures shown accurately display vocabulary words. Some pictures are neatly displayed.

5 or more applicable terms are without pictures; however, pictures shown accurately display vocabulary words. Few pictures are neatly displayed.

Definitions of Vocabulary Words

Each term has a well-written definition in your own words which clearly states its description/meaning.

1-2 term is missing a well-written definition which clearly states its description/meaning or is not in your own words.

3-4 terms are missing well-written definitions which clearly state their descriptions/meanings or are not in your own words.

5 or more terms are missing well-written definitions which clearly state their descriptions/meanings or is not in your own words.

Creative Cover Cover shows much creativity. It is colorful and pleasing to the eye.
