TheIECimmigrationadviserprovidesstudentswithinformationabouthowtomaintaintheirF-1internationalstudentstatus.Theimmigrationadviseranswersquestionsrelatedtoprogramextensions,transferringinoroutoftheprogram,termexemptions(whenstudentswanttotakeasessionoff),reducedcourseloads,earlyauthorizedwithdrawals,andon-campusemploymentregulations.Theimmigrationadviserprovidesworkshopsandmeetswithstudentsone-on-onetoensurethattheyunderstandallexpectations,requirements,andregulations.TheadviseralsohelpstosmooththetransitionbetweentheESLAcademicBridgeProgramandtheUniversityofColoradoBoulderforthosestudentswhointendtomatriculateintoadegreeprogram.

Intensive English
TheIntensive English ProgramisdesignedforinternationalstudentswhoarepreparingtoenterauniversityorgraduateprogramintheU.S.ItisalsoappropriateforworkingprofessionalsandcommunitymemberswhowanttoimprovetheiracademicEnglish.Studentstakewriting,reading,listening&speaking,andelectivecourses.ClassesareinteractiveandallowstudentstodeveloptheirlanguageskillswhilepracticingEnglishinrealsituations.Classsizeis12-15studentsonaverage.TeachersprovidestudentsextensivefeedbackwhichhelpsstudentstoimprovetheirEnglishandbuildtheirconfidence.

ESL Academic Bridge
TheESL Academic Bridge Program(24hours/week)isforconditionally-admittedstudentswhohavemettheacademicrequirementsbuthavenotmettheEnglishlanguageproficiencyrequirementsforadmissionintoanundergraduatedegreeprogramattheUniversityofColoradoBoulder.TheprogrampreparesstudentstomeettheEnglishlanguagechallengesofundergraduatestudyattheuniversity.StudentsnotonlytakecourseworkinacademicEnglishanduniversitypreparation,butalsoparticipateinworkshops,activities,andevents,whichhelpthemtransitiontotheuniversityandbecomepartoftheuniversitycommunity.StudentsmustsuccessfullycompletetheBridgeprogrampriortobeginningtheirdegreeprogramattheuniversity.

TheIECimmigrationadviserprovidesstudentswithinformationabouthowtomaintaintheirF-1internationalstudentstatus.Theimmigrationadviseranswersquestionsrelatedtoprogramextensions,transferringinoroutoftheprogram,termexemptions(whenstudentswanttotakeasessionoff),reducedcourseloads,earlyauthorizedwithdrawals,andon-campusemploymentregulations.Theimmigrationadviserprovidesworkshopsandmeetswithstudentsone-on-onetoensurethattheyunderstandallexpectations,requirements,andregulations.TheadviseralsohelpstosmooththetransitionbetweentheESLAcademicBridgeProgramandtheUniversityofColoradoBoulderforthosestudentswhointendtomatriculateintoadegreeprogram.
