The 30 Second Happiness Miracle

From the beginning of human history we have beensearching for happiness. Most of our daily functions and

overall desires all revolve around "being happy." Beingsatisfied is a key goal in our current "materialistic society."

But something that the spiritually advanced noticed quickly   was that everything material is impermanent. Like beauty fades, and youth withers away, so does everything material.So happiness cannot depend on the material.

So as this revelation was made clearer, many ancienttraditions focused on the opposite, the spiritual. And thus, if  you begin studying ancient texts and modern sciences, you'llnotice their complexity. The more you learn the more youget confused. Eventually, the main goal, happiness (orpersonal contentment), is lost in the haze.

Some, the very adept, are able to reach that state of purehappiness through spiritual ascension, via ascetic practices.Going on retreat to the middle of nowhere and living in amonastery devoid of life's simple pleasures, does not seemlike a practical option for a normal human being living inthe 21st Century. For us, the normal human beings, spiritualascension is a goal we might want but not at the expense of 

"living life to the fullest."

For most of us, our time is our most precious commodity.  We love to live life in the moment and we enjoy life more  when we are in action. We like doing, evolving, learning,

interacting, being, moving; this is who we are.

Sitting in a room quietly for thirty minutes, then thrusting yourself into this hectic city-world and thinking everythingis going to be perfect is not a realistic view of life. Gratitude is one of the most powerful emotions a human being can experience. It alone can put you in a state of Bliss

The Elements of Gratitude-Bliss Meditation (GBM) are:

1. Breath2. Gratefulness3. Happy thought4. Smile

The above elements are the "inner workings" of GBM. Likethe gears inside a clock they MUST work together. Theseelements are simple and easy to do. ANYONE can do them,no matter age, race, religion, or nationality. After theirexplanations, all the elements will be put together in the"EXECUTION" section to make GBM work.

The Elements Explained...

1. Breath

The type of breathing done for GBM is calleddiaphragmatic breathing* or "complete breath." This  breathing method allows for more air to enter your lungs(and thus your body). One of the reasons for healthproblems is lack of oxygen. Babies and young children by 

nature use the complete breath method. Unfortunately weadopt a "shallow breath" breathing pattern as we get older.Breathing is more important than you think. Remember, wecan go days without food and water but can only go a few minutes without air!

"Complete Breath" is quite simple. As you inhale, push out

  your abdomen allowing as much air into your lungs aspossible. Retain your breath for several seconds then slowly exhale drawing your abdomen in. Continue doing this in acalm and serene manner.

Note: Breathing should be done through the nose.

 As you go through your complete breath, carefully listen tothe sound your breathing makes. On inhale you'll hear (ornotice) the "so" sound and on exhale you'll hear the "hum"sound. Do this for as long as you like. This will relax you.

Now for the energizing part of this element...

Imagine hundreds of star-like particles around you. These

particles are filled with health and "happy" energy. As youinhale, you breathe in these particles making you feel great!Continue the complete breath along with this visualization.The complete breath can be done at any time, any place.

2. Gratefulness

To be grateful one must give thanks for EVERYTHING,starting with your own life. Life is the most precious gift andone must be thankful about this. Then continue to givethanks for your health and everything else. Make a list of allthose things...

Example: Give thanks for your parents, your wife, your son,

daughter, your car, your house (the roof you sleep under),school, the trees, the sky, the planet, EVERYTHING!

Now for the energizing effect...

 You must "feel" gratitude, not just visualize it. The emotionis what triggers the gratitude energy.

3. Happy Thought

This element will put you in a state of Bliss. Think of amoment in your childhood that made you feel intensely happy. For example, you might have received a gift that youcherished, or you might have some object that made you feelgood (like a puppy or plush doll). The memory can even be

an adult one, like the day your favorite sports team won thechampionship or any such moment.

The energizing effect will be in holding that emotion, not just the thought.

4. Smile

The final element is the universal human sign of the smile.Smiling is an extremely powerful tool. It not only raises yourpersonal vibratory levels but it also sends out these good"vibrations" out into the Cosmos. We normally smile when

  we feel good, but for GBM you will be doing somethingspecial. You will smile even if you feel bad. You will "trick"

 your mind into believing everything is great.

  As you intentionally smile, your facial muscles will triggercertain brain responses relating to past "good moments" you've had. Since your brain cannot distinguish between amemory and the present moment, smiling intentionally willmake you feel better. Try it out, smile :-)

Now that you understand the 4 elements of GBM, you willmake them work together. Each element will be performed

one after the other, concentrating on the emotion (the"feeling") aspect of each element.

Note: If you forget something just go back and review theelements.

The 30 seconds Gratitude-Bliss Meditation:

1. Breathe. Use complete breath and use the star-likeparticle visualization.

2. Be grateful [with feeling]!

3. Think of a happy thought/emotion.

4. Smile.

Keep this sensation (and the smile) for 30 seconds.

 You're done!

Practice GBM as many times as you like during the day. Like

anything in life "practice makes perfect." Once you are moreexperienced you may trigger this "Gratitude Energy" at will without all the visualization. Then you can focus this energy (Focused Gratitude) and live a life of continual Bliss!

Some tips:

 You may also do a longer GBM. It can be 1 min. 2 min.or as long as you like. If you already do sittingmeditation, incorporate it at the beginning of yoursession.

Do GBM as you perform simple chores. For example as you wash your hands focus your gratitude into thataction. Do GBM while you drive (with your eyes opened,of course.). Do GBM at your job. etc. etc.

Do the "prayer" mudra* while doing GBM. Mudrasare special ancient hand postures that have been used by many different cultures. The prayer mudra is simple.Just put your hands together as in prayer with yourthumbs close to your heart. I have found this intensifies

GBM!

 You may also focus your gratitude on completestrangers, on loved ones, and on the entire world. GBMor Focused Gratitude is an intensely powerful tool forhealing. (Be sure to do the 24-hour Global Meditation)

Do the GBM as you wake up and before going to bed atnight. This has an energizing effect.

Try extending GBM for as long as you can. The purposeis to "live" GBM continually.

Do GBM in moments of stress, anxiety, depression,anger, etc. GBM will help you with any negative

I'm glad you are now at our website (ebook). Somehow youhave found this simple website and are discovering for yourself how easy it can be to be happy. The purpose of GratitudeBliss.com is to help people find happiness and blissin a simple, no-hassle way.

  After many years of researching many philosophies, religions,and scientific methods, I found that these methods of achieving

Below is a short explanation of the GratitudeBliss.com'sENOMAI logo (or mandala*). Over 15 years of research

and experience is represented in this symbol. The conceptsare extremely ancient, over 7,000 years old.

  What "ENOMAI" means is "I AM ONE" (reflected). If youstand in front of a mirror and display the word "ENOMAI," you will get "IAMONE" or "I Am One" which is exactly how the Cosmos works. It can be summed up like this...
