1. INTRODUCTION

Abu Dhabi COOMPANY/CONTRACTOR for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) has issued contract to Punj Lloyd Limited, Abu Dhabi to carry out the Engineering, Procurement & Construction for Tie-in works of Oil producers, Water disposal, Water injection, Produced water re-injection, Gas lift and ESP wells and Flowlines at Asab/Sahil/Shah, as part of South East (SE) fields.

South East Fields (SE) is comprised of Sahil, Asab,Shah, Qusahwira and Mender fields in a desert area south of Abu Dhabi city.

2. PURPOSE

This document contains pipe thickness calculations for the pipes which shall be used for the Project.

3. CODES AND STANDARDS

This document contains pipe thickness calculations for the pipes which shall be used for the Project.

ASME B 31.3-2008 : Process Piping

ASTM A 106 : Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe for High Temperature Service

ASTM A790 : Standard Specification for Seamless and Welded Ferritic /Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipe

ASME B36.10M : Welded And Seamless Wrought Steel Pipe

ASME B36.19M : Stainless Steel Pipe

4. BASIS FOR THICKNESS CALCULATION

The thickness calculation for all the referred pipes sizes has been done based on the design pressure and temperature mentioned in the respective class.

Para 304.1 of ASME B 31.3 has been used for thickness calculation.
