The Catholic Community of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, guided by the Holy Spirit, commits itself to work steadfastly in
love and humility to discern the will of God as we seek to proclaim the mission of Jesus Christ in our parish and beyond.
Gifted and called by Baptism, we dedicate ourselves to minister to the diverse needs of all of God’s people through every dimension of our worship, formation, fellowship, stewardship, and service.
May all that we do in His Name glorify Jesus Christ. Amen.

PARISH LIBRARY OPEN FOR YOU Parish Library Open for You Our parish library, located near the office, is available for you. Please feel free to take books or CD’s from our collection. Including: The Secret of the Rosary, by St. Louis Mary de Montfort, translated by Mary Barbour, 1954, pp. 125. This is a spiritual classic that has helped many through the centuries in their meditations on the life of Jesus and Mary.
THE 2017 CALENDARS are in the commons this weekend. Please take one per family. THE PARISH would like to take this opportunity to thank Roy Bordeaux for his help in coordinating the landscaping of our parish grounds. Roy finds it necessary to step down from this ministry due to other commitments. We have a great team of people who really do a good job and take gardening seriously, and a big thank you goes to one and all. Would you be able to help in these efforts as well? Call the church office at 387-0491. SUNDAY’S WORD is on the bookcase in the commons. These are the Sunday readings for this liturgical year. A donation of $3.00 is suggested. There are additional copies on the bookcase by the sacristy for use during Mass only. THANK YOU to all who came out and supported breakfast with Santa. Thank you to our special Santa that our children thoroughly enjoyed. The youth group looks forward to doing this event again next year. THE WOMEN’S CLUB bake sale was a huge success and the women wish to thank everyone who baked and/or purchased the baked goods. The bake sale netted $355 which will be donated to the St. Francis Service Dog Foundation in Roanoke. This organization has involved many in the community such as the facility dog program (which train dogs to assist with therapy, provide motivation and give comfort). These trained dogs have been a life saver for many in our community. Other programs include the prison pup program where participating inmates who have earned the privilege of serving as puppy raisers prepare the pups for entry into the training program. The Vet dog program unites service dogs with the heroes and heroines who have sacrificed their health to serve our country honorably. Thank you for helping us to help make a difference in someone’s life.
