Standard (AES) or PSK
Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP)
(1): optional: use WPA2 personal mode or standard WEP encryption in case no server available
authenticationserver(1)
WPA Enterprise Mode: Wireless Protected Access 2 (WAP2) is based on the final IEEE 802.11i and replaces WEP (Wireless Equivalent Protocol) with a strong new encryption technology called Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). It supports mutual authentication using IEEE 802.1X/Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) for password protected network access through the use of an authentication server (RADIUS).
WPA Personal Mode: The ProScribe supports WPA2 Personal Mode in case an authentication server is not available. It uses a pre-shared key (PSK) for authentication. This mode uses applied authentication in which a pass-phrase (the PSK) is manually entered on the access point to generate the encryption key.
