Split Point Step DrillsThe spiral flutes of RUKO high-perfor-mance step drills are CBN-ground from thesolid hardened form. Because CBN(cubical boron nitride) is a much harderabrasive than even silicon carbide orcorundum, a better and sharper cuttingedge is achieved without burrs. Because ofthis higher dimensional precision, the drillswill last considerably longer while main-taining precise process tolerances. Drillbits are available in HHigh SSpeed SSteel,Cobalt 5 alloy High Speed Steel andTTiitanium NNitride-coated High Speed Steel.HSS-Co5 bits are the best choice for cutting stainless steels. The added titaniumnitride coating increases the surface hard-ness to approximately 2300 HV and theheat resistance to 1100°F (600°C).

• CBN-ground flutes without burrs mean asuperior cutting edge and longer tool life.

• Each step has a radially adjusted relief produced by CBN grinding, relating directly to the diameter of the step, so thecutting edge is always the highest point ofthe diameter.

• Each step is axially CBN relief-ground,meaning the cutting edge is also the highest point of the axial cutting axis.

• The cutting edge of each step has reliefangle, meaning the cutting edge is also thehighest point in advance direction.

• The CBN-ground point ensures centeringand spot-drilling, even in thin-walled material.

• Helix angle: 20° to 30°• Right hand cutting

FeaturesThe HSS ground twist drill is made ofheavy-duty high-speed steel. The fullyground twist drill has a more preciseconcentricity. HSS-Co5 drills are ideallysuited for materials that are especially difficult to drill such as stainlesss steel andfor higher chip loading. HSS-TiN modelsadd a titanium nitride coating to increasethe surface hardness to approximately2300 HV and the heat resistance to1100°F (600°C). This also provides longertool life with increased cutting speeds.

Knockout PunchesRUKO’s knockout punch hole-cutting toolincludes punch, die and draw bolt (withoutball bearing). Use for sheet steel, stainless-steel sheets, non-ferrous and light metals,and plastics. Replacement bolts are offeredin three of the most popular sizes.

Features• Cuts holes in thin materials quickly,

easily, cleanly and without burrs. • 3-point cut ensures less deformation of the

punched parts, preventing damage to thedraw-in bolt.

• The optional ball bearing between draw-inbolt and die plate makes handling simplerand quicker, reducing the force requiredby approx. 67% (replacement bolt partnumbers, 103110K, 103112K, and 103116K).

• The metric draw-in bolts are of the highestquality and are designed for extremeloads. If lost, they can be replaced for shortperiods of time by standard metric finethreaded bolts.

Handheld StroboscopesST-1000 LED StroboscopeThe Shimpo ST-1000 is a Stroboscope-Tachometer with LED flashtechnology. This velocity analyzing and measuring device is ideal forrotational machine inspection. The stroboscope is capable offlashing the light in a synchronous frequency to the operatingmachinery. This creates the illusion of viewing stopped or slowedimages so that machine parts and processes may be inspected fordefects. Plus, the rotational speed of the machinery and systemsmay be recorded for further performance analysis.

The ST-1000 is adjustable in either coarse or fine step flash-ratetuning. The backlit display shows the current flash rate, 10 user-stored pre-set flash rates, as well as a low battery warning. Thebacklit feature can be switched off to save battery life if desired. Theergonomic, handheld device is made of sturdy ABS plastic andcomes with batteries and protective carrying case. The LED tech-nology extends operation due to the low energy requirement of thelight diodes compared with xenon stroboscopes. Typical applicationsfor the ST-1000 are to inspect rotors, meshing gears, vibration diag-nostic equipment, textile equipment, printing production lines,power tools, speaker acoustical analysis, fan balancing and manymore.
