This recreational and friendship-building environment for children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities offers every camper a memorable summer experience. Muscular Dystrophy CampsAges: 6 to 17 who are affected by any of the more than 40 neuromuscular diseases in MDA's program

At MDA camp, kids with neuromuscular disease discover a world created specifically for them, and meet many other kids sharing the same needs and experiences. MDA campers dream about summer camp all year and often say it’s better than Christmas; some even say it’s changed their lives. Almost all campers agree that it’s "the best week of the year."

Texas Lions Camp is a 400 bed, residential camping facility for children with physical handicaps, type 1 diabetes and cancer. The Camp is located on over 500 acres in the Texas Hill County, and is designed to introduce the "Can Do" philosophy to children dealing with special medical conditions.
