Suction Vessel Mounted LNG Pumps
Ex-Tank Submerged Motor Pumps
This type of pump is typically located outside of a land based main storage tank inside of a vessel that contains the fluid to be pumped during operations. It can also be used in miscellaneous process applications, e.g., product transfer or controlling the liquid level in a process vessel.

Removable Type LNG Pumps
In-Tank Submerged Motor Pumps
Carter provides a patented removable pumping system that is accepted as the standard of the industry for in-tank pump installations.
This system permits removal of product over the top of the tank and eliminates the need for bottom or side tank penetrations below the liquid level.
Carters's concept incorporates a submerged pump that can be safely removed from a full or empty tank, even when the tank contains a boiling liquid, whose vapors are potentially hazardous.
The Carter removable pumping system is available in single or multi-stage configurations.

Shipboard Fixed LNG Pumps
The shipboard fixed pump is used primarily to discharge the cargo from the hold of an ocean going liquid gas carrier.
Carter provides the most compact and light weight pumping system available.
The simple, compact pump is easy to maintain providing ship owners and operators with the lowest overall maintainence cost over the life of the ship.
Carter shipboard pumps are still in operation after thirty years.
