The interface also incorporates the “Copy” function, which permitsto copy the parameters from a ERSSW07 to other ones, providingfast programming, reliability and repeatability in serialmanufacturing of machinery.

Network “Fieldbus”

The ERSSW07 Soft-Starters can be connected to “FieldBus”communication networks, through the Modbus RTU protocol.

Mainly designed to integrate large industrial automation plants, thequick communication networks provide advantages in supervision,monitoring and control, “online“ and complete, over the Soft-Starters, providing high performance and great operating flexibility,which characteristics that are demanded for complex and/orintegrated system applications.

For connection “FieldBus” type communication networks, theERSSW07 Soft-Starters allows the installation of plug-in type optionmodules at the front of the product. There are optional modules withModbus RTU protocol with RS232 or RS485 interface.

Programming Features

Current limitPermits to set the current limit during the start,according to the application requirements.

Voltage Kick Start

Enables an initial voltage pulse which, appliedto the motor, provides initial starting torquereinforcement. This is necessary for startinghigh breakway torque loads.

Voltage rampPermits smooth acceleration and/ordeceleration, through voltage ramps.

Built-in By-pass

Built-in by-pass minimizes power losses andheat dissipation in the thyristors, providingsize reduction and contributing to energysaving. This is available in all models.
