IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFUL I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND I BEAR

WITNESS THAT MUHAMMAD IS HIS MESSENGER

THE THIRTY-SIX LAWS OF ISLAM

1. No being loud to ourselves or others in public.

2. Too much joking is no good.

3. No yelling at one another in public.

4. No using ugly indecent language (slang).

5. No calling one another (bad) names, nicknames, etc.

6. No singing foolish and filthy songs.

7. No dancing, shaking, or twisting the body in public.

8. No lusting and looking with wanting eyes at each other.

9. No smoking, or drinking the fire spirits.

10. No chewing tobacco, or using it in any form.

11. No form fitting clothes.

12. No wearing of shorts in public.

13. No gambling.

14. No games of chance.

15. No whistling.

16. Go cleanly dressed.

17. Keep your house clean.

18. The women should never invite or allow strange men into her home in the absence of her husband, father, or brother (son of her father).

19. Show respect for self and others.

20. Respect and honor men in authority, whether they respect you or not.

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE BENEFICENT, THE MERCIFUL I BEAR WITNESS THAT THERE IS NO GOD BUT ALLAH AND I BEAR

WITNESS THAT MUHAMMAD IS HIS MESSENGER

21. Do not steal or take advantage of one another because of the freedom to do so.

22. Do not provoke anyone.

23. Do not quarrel or fight one another.

24. Protect your women and girls from the love of strange men.

25. Protect your daughters and women from doing evil and filth.

26. Rid yourselves from laziness; be smart and industrious.

27. Do good and righteousness, regardless to whom and where.

28. Be not wasteful; help to build a better future for self and kind.

29. Patronize your own people in business.

30. Be not divided; have love and unity for self and kind.

31. Serve one God, Allah, one religion, Islam.

32. Speak good for self and kind; never join in making fun of your own people with non-members of your people.

33. Be true to self and other than your own kind.

34. Defend each other against danger to lives and property of your own kind.

35. Be clean internally (mentally), as well as externally (bodily).

36. A total bath should be taken daily.

The above laws are given by our Leader and Teacher, the Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad to gain the respect of the Nations of the Earth. To be followed 100% by all Registered Followers in the Nation of Islam.
