We want you…

We want you to nominate the outstanding women in your life for the 2016 Stanislaus County Commission for Women Outstanding Women Awards.

Consider nominating women who have made a meaningful contribution to the quality of life for all women and children. Pathfinders who began an important program or took on a challenging cause. Women who have been first to achieve a significant accomplishment in their field. Women who have been inspirational role models. Women representatives in government who stand up for the issues of women and children.

Nominations are currently being accepted for Outstanding Women including the categories of Women of History and Living Pioneers. Scholarship opportunities are also available for Young Women award recipients (high school seniors through age 24).

A nomination form is enclosed with this pdf. Please follow the instructions to complete it and submit it by mail or email.

Nominations must be postmarked or delivered by email no later than January 8, 2016. Awards will be presented on Saturday, March 12, 2016.

The Stanislaus County Commission for Women is an independent, non-governmental organization to promote

within the community an awareness of issues that concern women.

Purpose of Annual Awards

�e purpose of the Annual Outstanding Women Awards is to honor women who have demonstrated exemplary service to our community as it relates to the objectives of the Stanislaus County Commission for Women.

Objectives

• To promote issues that concern women of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, economic backgrounds and beliefs.

• To promote within women the knowledge of their strengths and resources and to support women in the pursuit of their individual choices.

• To validate and celebrate the achievements of women collectively and individually throughout Stanislaus County.

• To support legislation and programs that address the needs of all women and children.
