The month of May, the most beautiful of the months, because it is the month of the first flowers and fresh greenery.
Everything in it is fragrant and fresh. But how different this May is from the others. All the more so during this time we are in the care of Our Lady, the Blessed Virgin Mary. We invite you to pray in the summaries of the Loretan Litany by singing the glory of Mary, our Mother. Who else will understand their children better, if not their own mother? We can completely entrust ourselves to this. John Paul... "Let us go, we hold ourselves like little children, to the Heart of Our Lady. (...) It is the Heart who knows the children's voice, she will reverse the painful blow."
REFLECTION “What is the reason for your hope?” Imagine somebody com-ing up to you and asking you that question. Not “What are you hoping for?” or “What are you hoping to do?” No, this isn’t about our desires for possessions or aspirations for life, it’s “Why do you hope?” Peter today tells us that we ought to be ready to give an answer to this question. Truth be told, few of us spend much time thinking about why we hope. Luckily, the scriptures today give us our answers. We hope because Christ suffered for us, in order that we might come to God. We hope because we know that, in the Spirit, God grants us another Advocate through Christ to remain with us always. No matter what we might hope for, whatever we might hope to do, we must always first know and proclaim the reason for our hope: the presence of God in Christ, with us through the power of the Spirit. Prosimy o przyniesienie oryginalnej metryki urodzenia dziecka; Rodzice Chrzestni muszą spełniać poniższe wymogi: minimum 16 lat, po sakramencie bierzmowania, praktykujący katolicy, małżonkowie muszą być po ślubie kościelnym; w przypadku osób spoza parafii – zaświadczenie dla Rodziców Chrzestnych z ich parafii.
Duszpasterstwo Chorych Jeśli masz osobę chorą w rodzinie, zgłoś ją do księdza. Służymy opieką duszpasterską i sakramentami chorych w kościele i poprzez odwiedziny w domach i szpitalach. Jest to ważny element troski o naszych bliskich. Wezwanie do umierających – o każdej porze.
Nabożeństwa Nowenna do Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy w każdą środę po mszy wieczornej; Pierwszy Piątek miesiąca – spowiedź od 18.30, nabożeństwo do Serca Pana Jezusa w każdy pierwszy piątek po Mszy świętej wieczornej.

On May 18th is the 100th birthday of St. John Paul. In his honor Fr. George will say a special Mass at 10:00AM
WITH MUCH SADNESS, we regret to inform you that our long time parishioner and friend ED DE AMICIS has gone to our Lord. Ed served this parish for a long time as a Eucharistic Minister and also at Wyckoff Heights Hospital. Once he moved out of the parish he still came back home whenever he could to attend Mass. On May 20th at 10:00AM the Mass intention will be for him.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

6 Niedziela Wielkanocna (Dobrego Pasterza) - Rok Liturgiczny A
Czytania liturgiczne:
1 czytanie: Z Dziejów Apostolskich 8, 5-8; 14-17 2 czytanie: Z 1 listu Św. Piotra 3, 15-18 Ewangelia: według Św. Jana 14, 15-21
Rozważanie:
Jednym z największych ciężarów, jakie z trudem dźwiga ludzkie serce, jest samotność. Nic tak nie boli jak puste miejsce pozostawione przez kogoś, kto odszedł. Nic tak nie sprawia przykrości, jak świadomość nigdy niekończącej się rozłąki. Dlatego Jezus żegnając się ze swoimi uczniami, zapewnia: Nie zostawię was sierotami (J 14, 18). Mówi tak, ponieważ ich ko-cha, a kochać, to być obecnym. Jezus pozostał z nami w Eucharystii oraz przez dar Parakleta — Ducha Świętego, którego przyjście zapowiada w dzisiejszej ewangelii. Duch Święty jednoczący Syna z Ojcem jest sprawcą naszej komunii z Bogiem. Greckie paracletos pochodzi z języka sądowego i oznacza obrońcę, adwokata, a także świadka, który zeznaje na korzyść oskarżonego. Duch Święty, którego ot-rzymają Apostołowie stanie się źródłem wewnętrznej mocy do dawania świadectwa Jezusowi wobec tych, którzy Go od-rzucają. To ktoś niezwykle potrzebny w sporze, jaki chrześcija-nin będzie musiał toczyć ze światem. Jeśli więc uczniowie Jezusa winni być zawsze gotowi do obrony i uzasadnienia swojej nadziei i jeśli mają zachować czyste sumienie (por. 1 Pt 3, 15-16), to tylko dzięki temu, że zostali obdarowani obecnością i mocą Ducha Świętego. To On wypełniając serca Apostołów swoją radością i pokojem, uz-dolni ich do życia w pełnym zjednoczeniu z Jezusem i Jego Ojcem. To On wszystkiego ich nauczy. Będzie Obrońcą i źródłem mądrości. Uzdolni wszystkich do odważnego wyzna-wania wiary. Stworzy z nich wspólnotę — Kościół.
Święto Wniebowstąpienia
Po swym zmartwychwstaniu Chrystus ukazywał się uczniom, zaś czterdziestego dnia na ich oczach wzniósł się do nieba z Góry Oliwnej. Określenie "Wniebowstąpienie Pańskie" pochodzi z
opisu, przekazanego przez św. Łukasza w Dziejach Apostol-skich (Dz 1, 9-11). Ewangeliści piszą o tym fakcie niewiele. Mateusz w ogóle nie mówi o wniebowstąpieniu, Marek wspo-mina lakonicznie: "Po rozmowie z nimi Pan Jezus został wzięty do nieba" (Mk 16, 19). Jan wzmiankuje w formie prze-powiedni. Miejscem wniebowstąpienia Jezusa była Góra Oli-wna. Z tej góry, gdzie rozpoczęła się męka Chrystusa, wzięła początek także Jego chwała. Jezus polecił Apostołom, aby nie odchodzili z Jerozolimy, lecz by oczekiwali spełnienia obiet-nicy zesłania Ducha Świętego (por. Dz 1, 4-5). Po powrocie do Jerozolimy Apostołowie "trwali jednomyślnie na modlitwie razem z niewiastami, Maryją, Matką Jezusa, i braćmi Jego" (Dz 1, 14). We czwartek, 21 maja, przypada Uroczystość Wniebowstąpienia naszego Pana Jezusa Chrystusa. Msza będzie transmitowana po polsku o godz. 8.00pm.
Miesiąc maj, najpiękniejszy z miesięcy, bo to miesiąc pierwszych kwiatów i świeżej zieleni. Wszystko w nim umajone, pachnące, świeże. Ale jakże ten maj inny od
pozostałych. Tym bardziej w tym czasie oddajemy się w opiekę Matce Bożej - Najświętszej Maryi Pannie. Zachęcamy do modlitwy w strofach Litanii Loretańskiej wyśpiewując chwałę Maryi, naszej Matki. Któż inny lepiej zrozumie swoje dzieci, jak nie własna matka? Jej możemy się całkowicie zawierzyć. Jej zawierzył się Św. Jan Paweł… "Idźmy, tulmy się jak dziatki, do Serca Maryi Matki. (...) To Serce zna dzieci głos, odwróci bolesny cios".

naszą obroną. Oby go Bóg pogromić raczył, pokornie o to prosimy,
a Ty, Wodzu niebieskich zastępów, szatana i inne duchy złe, które na zgubę dusz ludzkich po
tym świecie krążą, mocą Bożą strąć do piekła. Amen.

100-lecie Urodzin Św. Jana Pawła
W poniedziałek, 18 maja przypadają setne urodziny Św. Jana Pawła. Odprawiona będzie specjalna Msza Dziękczynna o godz. 7.00pm, za tak wielkiego świętego, naszego rodaka,
przewodnika do nieba oraz naszego orędownika przed Panem. Z pewnością będzie to jeszcze tylko transmisja, ale zachęcamy by wspólnie modlić się o jego wstawiennictwo w tych trudnych dniach zarazy. Bogu niech będą dzięki za naszego Wielkiego Rodaka i Świętego!

«Yo le amaré y me manifestaré a él»
Hoy, Jesús —como lo hizo entonces con sus discípulos— se despide, pues vuelve al Padre para ser glorificado. Parece ser que esto entristece a los discípulos que, aún le miran con la sola mirada física, humana, que cree, acepta y se aferra
a lo que únicamente ve y toca. Esta sensación de los seguidores, que también se da hoy en muchos cristianos, le hace asegurar al Señor que «nos os dejaré huérfanos», pues Él pedirá al Padre que nos envíe «otro Paráclito», «el Espíritu de la verdad»; además, aunque el mundo no le vaya a “ver”, «vosotros sí me veréis, porque yo vivo y también vosotros viviréis». Así, la confianza y la compren-sión en estas palabras de Jesús suscitarán en el verdadero discípulo el amor, que se mostrará clara-mente en el “tener sus mandamientos” y “guardarlos”. Y más todavía: quien eso vive, será amado de igual forma por el Padre, y Él —el Hijo— a su discípulo fiel le amará y se le manifestará. ¡Cuántas palabras de aliento, confianza y promesa llegan a nosotros este Domingo! En medio de las preocupaciones cotidianas —donde nuestro corazón es abrumado por las sombras de la duda, de la desesperación y del cansancio por las cosas que parecen no tener solución o haber entrado en un camino sin salida— Jesús nos invita a sentirle siempre presente, a saber descubrir que está vivo y nos ama, y a la vez, al que da el paso firme de vivir sus mandamientos, le garantiza manifestársele en la plenitud de la vida nueva y resucitada. Hoy, se nos manifiesta vivo y presente, en las ense-ñanzas de las Escrituras que escuchamos, y en la Eu-caristía que recibiremos. —Que tu respuesta sea la de una vida nueva que se entrega en la vivencia de sus mandamientos, en particular el del amor.
ASOCIACIÓN - Apóstol Misericordioso debe: 1. Rezar la coronilla y un día de la novena de la Divina Misericordia. 2. Venerar en su familia y difundir la imagen de la Divina Misericordia. 3. Celebrar solemnemente la fiesta de la Divina Misericordia. 4. Profundizar en el conocimiento de la devoción la misericordia. 5. Vivir bajo los rayos de la gracia de Jesús Misericordioso. 6. Hacer durante el día un acto de piedad (acción, palabra o la oración). 7. Consagrarse a Jesús.
