Angus Foam/Water, open, airaspirating, nozzles designed for

use as part of an engineered fire

protection system.

Each sprinkler is designed formounting in the pendant positionand produces a solid cone discharge(as detailed overleaf), with very similarspray patterns for both foam andwater. The fire protection system cantherefore be designed in accordancewith NFPA 11/16, to deliver an initialfoam discharge to combat a flammableliquid fire, followed by a period ofwater discharge to provide additionalcooling if required.

The K40 Mk2 is designed to meet6.5 litres/m2/min application ratesunder NFPA spacing requirements,whilst the K20 Mk2 is designed forapplications requiring 4.1 litres/m2/min.

These well tried and tested foam/watersprinklers are installed worldwide.

Popular applications include processarea protection, road and rail tankerloading bays, warehousing and aircrafthangars. They are particularly wellsuited for use in high risk situationswhere mixed risk flammable liquids arestored. When used in conjunction withAngus Alcoseal AR-FFFP multipurposefoam concentrate both K40 Mk2 andK20 Mk2 provide excellent quality offinished foam, sealing off vapours andprotecting against reignition.

Both these foam/water sprinklers arecompact, robust and consequentlyless easily damaged than conventionaldesigns. Each sprinkler is entirelyconstructed from 316 stainless steel,which provides excellent corrosionresistance and makes them particularlywell suited to process area and coastalapplications.

They are designed to produce finishedfoam with an expansion ratio in therange 5:1 to 7:1 over a 1 - 7 bar.(15 - 100 psi) operating range.
