Guests must be 21 years or older. Thank you!
Timmmmberrrr!
What an exciting evening we have planned for you tonight at our 39th Annual Auction!
We encourage you to carve your name into as many trees (bid sheets) as you’d like. While
you enjoy time socializing around the campsite, don’t forget to join in the fun of our high-
energy live auction to ensure you win that amazing fishing trip, yard package or adventure!
Our Faith Can Move Mountains has never been truer than here at St. Luke Catholic School
and Church. Together over the past year and a half we have:
• Improved the school facilities with 2 new beautiful and functional water fill
stations, a new intercom system, a new look for our lobby, a freshly painted gym.,
and sturdy picnic tables for outdoor play and class use.
• Added to our academics with a full-time PE / Health teacher, a robotics program,
new math curriculum, and have created a quality middle school model.
• Furthered our community with a house system that promotes multi-age
community related to our CASAS, a new logo that incorporates our 4 houses,
added a hot lunch program, implemented a sustainable after-school program, and
increased teacher and staff salaries.
• Secured 80% of the funds necessary for a new roof, heating and air system, and
window blinds (kicked off by your paddle raise last year!)
There is so much to be proud of as we continue to work toward moving those mountains!
St. Luke is a school where we teach Faith, and rigorous academics are taught through the
light of faith! Your support tonight is essential to our continued mission of moving kids to
Harvard and to lead saintly lives! Enjoy the evening, the sense of community and know you
make a difference in the lives of all of our kids!
Blessings,
Angie Smith, Principal

In Recognition…. On behalf of the St. Luke Parent Club, we would like to recognize all pastoral, custodial,
administrative and school staff – especially our dedicated teachers, who work tirelessly and
without complaint to ensure a safe and clean environment in which to foster Catholic
education. The care and use of Rubis Hall and the gymnasium are the result of a school
and parish-wide collaboration and we are most grateful.
We would also like to take this time to reflect on the generosity of the people who in the
past thirty-nine years have shared their time, energy and talents with us. We are blessed
to have such a supportive community that comes together each and every year to make
the St. Luke Annual Auction and Dinner a success.
St. Luke Catholic School Foundation
After 37 years, Foundation exceeds $1,000,000!!!
The St. Luke Catholic School Foundation Board is pleased to announce that
total assets now exceed $1,000,000! School operations stand on the shoulders
of many donors whose contributions have been invested over the past 37 years.
Gifts to the foundation are invested, with only income from investment used to
support the school. Funds are invested through the Archdiocese, along with
other Catholic school endowments, where professional management and
economies of scale provide all Archdiocesan schools with access to a balanced
strategy of stocks and bonds. The Foundation Board has chosen a steady
distribution rate of 5% regardless of fluctuations in the stock market. The
current year commitment to the school is $49,350 supporting student financial
assistance and the math, science and music curriculum.
Not wanting to rest on our laurels, the Foundation Board is targeting the 2nd
million dollar milestone in less than 20 years (the first Million took 37 years).
Our contributors, when matched by Portland area philanthropist Joe Weston,
make this entirely possible. The challenge grant at this time is $20,000. Gifts to
the foundation through the annual appeal as well as memorial gifts and
bequests are all part of the puzzle in meeting the challenge opportunity.
We hope that parishioners and all community members who share the desire
the support the school on a sustaining basis, will participate in the work of
building this financial resource.

Annual Appeal
Each year, our “Miracles in Motion” campaign helps to fund one–third of the
financial assistance to our families. Parishioners, Parents, Staff, and Friends of
our school freely give to this fund to keep the school vibrant and available to
families of all incomes levels.
Our appeal for 2017-2018 recently started. Many matching grants are available
that help augment your donation. You can help us reach our goal by rounding
up your auction purchases this evening at checkout. Thank You!
