10. Place the lower edge of the paper on the middle fold.

11. Place the right edge on the left edge, as if turning a book.

13. Place the lower left corner on the already existing fold towards right.

14. Place the upper left corner on the already existing fold downwards. Then rotate the paper around 60°, to the position as shown in fig.15.

12. Place the lower right corner according to the position points and the dotted line. Fold sharp and unfold. Finally place the corner back to its position.

15. Place the lower left corner according to the position points and the dotted line. Fold sharp. Finally open the paper and rotate again as shown in fig.16.

16. Repeat the steps 7-15 on the other 3 positions. The result is visible in fig 17. Finally turn

40. The star appears like this from behind when all the pockets are locked. The wings are still flapping upwards which is undesirable.

44. This picture presents the complete crease pattern of the star.

41. With the help of a rosewood stick, the small folds will be pressed in a mountain fold like fashion upwards. The other three pockets, position b-d, will also be pressed the same way.

42. Hold the star in one hand and with the other thumb push the hole in the middle downwards to stabilize the mountain fold forms. The pockets will lie close to the star and the hole in the middle will be smaller. Now the star is perfectly locked.
