TaylorMade wanted pro golferMark O’Meara to try out a newset of irons, O’Meara asked touse them at the 1998 SkinsGame. “We had one week to

produce two sets of irons—withclub designs still in CAD and notooling in place,” says JeffBlasius, TaylorMade’s seniortooling engineer. “So wecreated 50 wax patterns on our3-D printer, sent them to the
