believe in one God, the Father almighty,

maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made.

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven,

BOW and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead

and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

THE PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

STAND

Lord, hear us. (or) All Lord, graciously hear us

Let us pray to the Lord All Lord, have mercy.

We ask for the prayers of the Saints and especially those of Mary, God’s Mother and ours, as we say:

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Ame

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

he church's one Foundation is Jesus Christ her Lord;

she is His new creation, by water and the Word; from heav'n He came and sought her to be His holy bride; with His own blood He bought her, and for her life He died.

2 Elect from ev'ry nation, yet one o'er all the earth, her charter of salvation, one Lord, one faith, one birth; one holy Name she blesses, partakes one holy food, and to one hope she presses, with ev'ry grace endued.

3 Tho' with a scornful wonder, men see her sore oppressed, by schisms rent asunder, by heresies distressed, yet saints their watch are keeping, their cry goes up, "How long?" And soon the night of weeping shall be the morn of song.

4 'Mid toil and tribulation, and tumult of her war, she waits the consummation of peace for evermore; till with the vision glorious her longing eyes are blest, and the great church victorious shall be the church at rest.

5 Yet she on earth hath union with God the Three in One, and mystic sweet communion with those whose rest is won. O happy ones and holy! Lord, give us grace that we, like them, the meek and lowly, on high may dwell with Thee.

Pray, my brothers and sisters, that our sacrifice may be acceptable to God the almighty Father. May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good, and the good of all his holy Church.

COMMUNION RITE

THE LORD’S PRAYER STAND

At the Saviour’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin

and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever.

Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your Apostles: Peace I leave you, my peace I give you, look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will. Who live and reign for ever and ever. Amen.

If you are not already standing, please STAND now.

COMMUNION Behold the Lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the world. Blessed are those called to the supper of the Lamb. Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my soul shall be healed.

When offered the Host and the Chalice or when given a blessing the response is always: Amen.

DURING HOLY COMMUNION

God, unseen yet ever near, your presence may we feel;

and thus, inspired with holy fear, around your table kneel.

2 Here may your faithful people know the blessings of your love, the streams that through the desert flow, the manna from above.

3 We come, obedient to your word, to feast on heavenly food; to eat the body of the Lord, and drink his precious blood.

4 O living Bread, enduring Vine, your words we shall obey, and go, renewed with strength divine, rejoicing on our way.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION To which we respond: STAND Amen.

The Altar Party go to the shrine of our Lady; we turn and face it and honour her and sing::

other of Christ, hear thou thy people's cry Star of the deep and Portal of the sky!

Mother of Him who thee made from nothing made. Sinking we strive and call to thee for aid: O, by what joy which Gabriel brought to thee, Thou Virgin first and last, thy mercy see.

V: The Angel of the Lord announced unto Mary. R. And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Let us pray Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts: that as we have known the incarnation of Thy Son Jesus Christ by the message of an Angel, so too by His Cross and passion may we be brought to the glory of His resurrection. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

FINAL HYMN

ail to the Lord’s Anointed, Great David’s greater Son!

Hail, in the time appointed, His reign on earth begun! He comes to break oppression, To set the captive free; To take away transgression, And rule in equity. 2 He shall come down like showers Upon the fruitful earth; And love, joy, hope, like flowers, Spring in His path to birth: Before Him on the mountains Shall peace, the herald, go; And righteousness, in fountains, From hill to valley flow.

To Him shall prayer unceasing And daily vows ascend; His kingdom still increasing, A kingdom without end. The mountain dews shall nourish A seed in weakness sown, Whose fruit shall spread and flourish, And shake like Lebanon. 5 O’er every foe victorious He on His throne shall rest, From age to age more glorious, All-blessing and all-blest. The tide of time shall never His covenant remove; His Name shall stand forever, His changeless Name of Love.
