Luckily, it’s TenMarks Math Madness Time!What is Math Madness?A nationwide contest of math-abilities, TenMarks Math Madness challenges students in class-rooms across the US to solve problems…accurately! In 2012, students in more than 3,000 classrooms solved more than 6,000,000 problems!

Are you ready to take on the challenge and have a chance to win an iPad?

How do I register my class(es)?• Log into your TenMarks account and click the Math Madness panel at the bottom right of your screen. • Select the class(es) you want to register and you’re done! • Contestants will be divided into three groups by grade level: elementary (1-4), middle

(5-8), and high (9-12; Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2). During the contest period – March 4th to April 12th – we’ll track the total number of questions your students attempt as well as the number correct.

Prizes? Yeah, we’ve got those!Weekly Winners: Each week, the class that makes the most improvement week over week in the number of questions they answer correctly will win an ice cream or a pizza party! Two (2) winners will be selected from each group and each will receive a $75 gift card to Pizza Hut™ or Baskin-Robbins™.

Overall Winners: At the end of the contest period, one class from each group will win an iPad for their classroom. We’ll use the data for the 4 weeks when each of your class(es) attempt the most number of questions with at least 70% correct to determine the overall group winner.

Math Madness Contest Rules1. The contest is open only to schools in the United States and Canada.2. At the end of six weeks, only classes that have an average of 70% correct answers

for at least 4 weeks out of 6 will be eligible to win the overall prize. 3. Only classes that complete at least 500 questions in that week are eligible to win

the weekly prizes.4. The contest is open to current and new TenMarks teachers. 5. To be eligible for the prize, you must register for TenMarks, create an active class,

and sign up for Math Madness by March 15th, 2013. 6. Winners of the TenMarks Math Madness challenge will receive a 16GB model of the iPad.7. Overall group winners will be announced on April 22nd, 2013.
