Muzejska zbirka Kastavštine, izdvojena zbirka Pomorskog i po-vijesnog muzeja Hrvatskog primorja Rijeka, smještena ponad gradskih vrata – volte u Kastvu, otvorena je 1981., a obnovljena 06.06.2005. Bogat i raznovrstan postav zbirke arheološkog, etnografskog, kulturno-povijesnog i povijesnog sadržaja, po-ziva vas na put kroz baštinu Kastva i okolice, u vremenskom rasponu od pretpovijesti do sredine 20. stoljeća.

KASTAV MUSEUM COLLECTION

the Kastav Museum Collection is a separate part of the Mar-itime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, opened to the public in 1981 and renovated in 2005. the mu-seum is located near the town gate (the vault at the entrance to the old town of Kastav). this extensive collection of archae-ological, ethnographic, cultural and historical value, presents the heritage of the Kastav area from prehistory through to the mid-20th century.

4. FILETOVA KOVAČIJA

u privatnom vlasništvu obitelji Rubeša očuvana je radionica uglednog kastavskog kovača Ivana Rubeša Fileta. središnji prostor kovačije je otvoreno ognjište, uz kojeg je smješten veliki kožni mijeh kojim se raspiruje vatra, nakovanj, kame-nica s vodom za kaljenje metala, te oko četrdeset različitih čekića i dvadesetak vrsta kliješta. Kovači su izrađivali razno-vrsne predmete široke primjene, za domaćinstvo i okućni-cu, ratarsko oruđe i alate za druge zanate. Kovači-bravari izrađivali su i popravljali ključeve, brave i okove. vrsnost ko-vača pokazivala je izrada zahtjevnijih predmeta, primjerice sjekire, a osobiti spoj umijeća i maštovitosti pokazuju pred-meti koji su imali i ukrasnu namjenu te ograde i vrata koja još uvijek dočekuju posjetitelje.

FILE’S SMITHY In the private ownership of the Rubeša family the workshop of the well-respected Kastav smith Ivan Rubeša File has been preserved. the central part of the smithy was an open fire place, alongside which was placed great leather bellows used to stoke the fire, an anvil, a stone container with water for cooling the metal and around 40 different hammers and 20 sorts of jaws. the smiths made different sorts of objects for many purposes, home and garden, agricultural tools and tools for other crafts. smiths – locksmiths made and repaired keys, locks and chains. the capability of a smith can be seen in the production of more demanding items such as axes, and in the special connection of skill and imagination in mak-ing decorative items for such as fences and doors which still greet visitors today.

BOTTEGA DEL FABBRO FILET

La bottega del rispettato fabbro di Kastav, Ivan Rubeša Fi-let, è stata conservata ed è di proprietà privata della famiglia Rubeša. Lo spazio centrale della bottega presenta il focolare aperto accanto al quale si trovano un grande soffietto in pelle utilizzato per ravvivare il fuoco, un’incudine, un contenitore in pietra con acqua per brasare il metallo e circa quaranta diversi tipi di martelli e venti tipi di pinze. I fabbri creavano vari oggetti che furono utilizzati per gli scopi più diversi, per la casa e per il giardino, attrezzi agricoli e utensili per altri mestieri. Inoltre creavano e riparavano chiavi, serrature e cerniere. L’eccellen-za di un fabbro era dimostrata dalla creazione di oggetti più impegnativi, come ad esempio l’ascia, mentre una speciale miscela di arte e fantasia davano vita a oggetti decorativi, re-cinzioni e cancelli che ancora oggi accolgono i visitatori.

FILET EISENSCHMIEDE

Im privaten Besitz der Familie Rubeša wurde die Werkstatt des angesehenen schmieds Ivan Rubeša Filet bewahrt. Den Mit-telteil der Eisenschmiede bildet ein offener Heizofen, neben dem sich ein großer Balg aus Leder befindet mit dem man das Feuer anfacht, ein amboss, ein Wassergefäß aus stein für das Härten des Metalls und außerdem ungefähr 40 verschiedene Hammer sowie 20 arten von zangen. Die schmiede stellten unterschiedliche Gegenstände mit verschiedenen Gebrauchs-zwecken her, für den Haushalt und den Garten, den ackerbau sowie Werkzeug für andere Handwerke. schmiede-schlosser erstellten und reparierten schlüssel, schlösser und Beschläge. von der Gewandtheit der schmiede zeugt die Erstellung von aufwendigen Gegenständen, zum Beispiel Äxten, und eine be-sondere verbindung von Geschick und Kreativität stellen die Gegenstände dar, die ebenfalls als Dekor dienten sowie die zäune und türen, die heute noch die Besucher erwarten.

LA COLLEZIONE MUSEALE DEL CASTUANO

La Collezione museale del Castuano del Museo storico e ma-rittimo del Litorale Croato di Rijeka è ospitata presso la sede distaccata situata sopra la porta cittadina (volta di Kastav); fu inaugurata nel 1981 e rinnovata il 6 giugno 2005. La raccolta, ricca e variegata di carattere storico, archeologico, etnografi-co e storico-culturale, invita a compiere un viaggio nel patri-monio culturale di Kastav e dintorni, in una cornice che parte dalla preistoria per giungere fino alla metà del XX secolo.

MUSEUMSAMMLUNG DER KASTAV-REGION

Die Museumsammlung der Kastav-Region ist ein gesonderter teil des seefahrts- und Geschichtsmuseums des Kroatischen Küstenlandes Rijeka. Die im Jahre 1981 geöffnete und 2005 renovierte sammlung befindet sich oberhalb des stadttors. Diese umfangreiche und vielseitige ausstellung von archäo-logischer, ethnographischer, kulturgeschichtlicher und histo-rischer Bedeutung, präsentiert das Erbe der stadt Kastav und der umgebung von der vorgeschichte bis zur Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts.

1. VIKOTOVA BAČVARIJA – MIĆI ZAVIČAJNI MUZEJ

u Pelinima, najstarijem predjelu kastavske gradske jezgre, odmah nakon ulaska u grad, u prizemlju je jedne od starih kuća nekada bila bačvarija. u dvorištu je bačvarije očuvana škalnica - namakalo za duge (oblikovane daščice od ko-jih su se izrađivale bačve i ostale drvene posude kakve su se nekada koristile u svakodnevnome životu). u prostoru nekadašnje bačvarske radionice – bačvarije, postavljena je izložba alata za pravljenje bačava i ostalog drvenog suđa te proizvodi bačve, bačvice, barilce, kablovi i drugo. u izložbe-nom prostoru uz razgledavanje izložbe o zanatskoj tradiciji moguće je organizirati i degustacije domaćeg vina i rakije, a ljeti u dvorištu bačvarije, u staroj jezgri Kastva organiziraju se i manja druženja i kulturna događanja – promocije, pre-zentacije te koncerti.

2. OSOJNAKOVA KOTLARIJA – MIĆI ZAVIČAJNI MUZEJ

Osojnakova kotlarija jedna je od rijetkih i najpoznatijih ra-dionica posljednjega kastavskoga majstora kotlara Milka Osojnaka (1911.-1994.) u ovom dijelu Hrvatskog primorja. u njoj su se izrađivali kotlarski proizvodi od bakra - razni kotlovi za kuhanje rakije, suđe za poljoprivredu te predmeti za domaćinstvo kotlići, pinjate (veći plosnati tanjuri), sure (tave), kablovi i manji pribor. Kotlarija je sačuvana u neta-knutom stanju sa starim mijehom, ognjištem i nakovnjem te zbirkom alata i artefaktima majstora Milka Osojnaka. ne-kadašnja je kotlarska radionica danas izložbeni prostor o kotlarskomu zanatu, koji je u prošlosti bio razvijen u Kastvu. Prikupljeni eksponati ilustriraju mnogima nepoznat kotlar-ski zanat i oblikovanje bakrenih predmeta koji su bili sastav-ni dio svakodnevice minulih godina.

VIKO’S COOPERY – LOCAL ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

In Pelini, the oldest part of the Kastav town’s nucleus, just after the entrance to the town, on the ground floor of one of the old houses there was once a coopery. In the cooper’s yard a škalnica – an item for soaking duge (thin pieces of board out of which barrels and other wooden containers once used in everyday life were made) is pre-served. a collection of tools for producing coopery and various items made of wood are presented here in the authentic ambience of a former cooper workshop, where visitors can learn more about this traditional handicraft and sample some home-made wine and brandies. In summer, the courtyard of this workshop, located in the old town of Kastav, can host cultural events, promotions and concerts.

LA BOTTEGA DEL BOTTAIO VIKO – PICCOLO MUSEO ETNOGRAFICO

a Pelini, la parte più antica del nucleo cittadino, subito dopo l’entrata nella città, al pianterreno di una vecchia case c’era una volta una bottega di bottaio. nel cortile della bottega è conservata la škalnica (il braciere per l’inumidimento delle doghe, con le quali si producevano le botti e altri recipienti di legno usati nella vita quotidiana). nei locali di quella che una volta era una bottega di bottaio sono esposti gli stru-menti per la fabbricazione delle botti e di altri recipienti in legno, nonché le stesse botti grandi e piccole, barili, ma-stelli e altro ancora. nello spazio espositivo dedicato alla mostra su questa tradizione artigianale è anche possibile organizzare degustazioni di vini e grappe locali; d’estate presso il cortile della bottega, nel centro storico di Kastav, vengono organizzati incontri ed eventi culturali, promozio-ni, presentazioni e concerti.

VIKOS BÖTTCHEREI – KLEINES HEIMATMUSEUM

In Pelini, dem ältesten teil des stadtkerns, der sich gleich nach dem stadteingang, im Erdgeschoss eines alten Hau-ses befindet, war einmal eine Fassbinderei. Hier im Haus-hof kann man „škalnica“ sehen – Wanne zum Einweichen der Fassdauben. Im ambiente einer ehemaligen Böttche-rei werden Böttcherwerkzeuge und Böttchererzeugnisse präsentiert. Die Besucher können hier mehr über die loka-le Handwerkstradition erfahren und hausgemachte Weine und schnäpse verkosten. Im sommer finden im Innenhof der Werkstatt kleinere Kulturveranstaltungen, Präsentatio-nen und Konzerte statt.

OSOJNAK’S KETTLE WORKSHOP – LOCAL ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

this is one of the rare and most famous workshops of Milko Osojnak (1911-1994), the last kettle maker from Kastav. the workshop was used to produce a wide range of items of co-pper, such as boilers for making brandy, dishes for agricul-ture, or various household items. the workshop has been preserved in its original state with old bellows, fireplace and anvil, and a collection of tools and artefacts that used to be-long to the artisan Milko Osojnak. the former coppersmith workshop is today a display area of coppersmith’s trade, which was developed in Kastav in the past. the collected displays illustrate the little known coppersmith trade and casting of items made of copper, which were a constituent parts of the everyday life in the past.

LA BOTTEGA DEL CALDERAIO OSOJNAK – PICCOLO MUSEO ETNOGRAFICO

La bottega del calderaio Osojnak è uno dei più rari e co-nosciuti laboratori dell’ultimo mastro calderaio Milko Osoj-nak (1911-1994) in questa parte del litorale croato. In essa si fabbricavano stoviglie in rame – vari alambicchi per la distillazione della grappa, oggetti per uso agricolo, piatti, padelle, mastelli e posate. La bottega è stata conserva-ta nel suo stato originario, con l’antico mantice, la fucina, l’incudine e la serie di strumenti e di artefatti di mastro Mil-ko Osojnak. L’antica officina dei calderai è oggi un locale espositivo sull’opera artigianale dei Calderai, che nel pas-sato era sviluppato a Castua. Gli oggetti raccolti illustrano l’opera dei calderai, poco conosciuta, e la fabbricazione di oggetti in rame che erano parte integrante della vita quoti-diana nel passato.

OSOJNAKS KESSELSCHMIEDE – KLEINES HEIMATMUSEUM

Osojnaks Kesselschmiede ist eine der bekanntesten Wer-kstätten des letzten Kesselschmieds aus Kastav, Milko Osoj-nak (1911-1994) in dieser Region. Hier wurden verschiedene Produkte aus Kupfer hergestellt – schnapskessel, schüsse-ln sowie diverse Haushaltsgegenstände, Geschirr usw. Die Werkstatt wurde im Originalzustand erhalten – hier befin-den sich Feuerstelle, Blasebalg und amboss, sowie diver-se Werkzeuge und artefakte, die einst dem Meister Milko Osojnak gehörten. Eine ehemalige Kesselwerkstätte ist heute ein ausstellungsraum des Kupferschmiedhandwer-ks, welches in der vergangenheit in Kastav stark entwickelt war. Die gesammelten ausstellungsstücke illustrieren das für viele unbekannte Kesselgewerbe und die Formung der Kupfergegenstände, die als Bestandteil des alltags in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten gebraucht wurden.

3. IDIČINA PEKNJICA – MIĆI ZAVIČAJNI MUZEJ

najstarija krušna peć na drva u Kastvu sačuvana je upra-vo u Idičinoj peknjici u Pelinima, dijelu stare jezgre Kastva. Drvo bi u naramcima na leđima donosile kastavske žene iz obližnje šume Loza. Kao vrsnu pekaricu i kuharicu Ka-stavci pamte još uvijek Idu - Idicu Bačić (1890. - 1975.) koja je dugi niz godina pekla kruh u svojoj peknjici u Pelinima. Prvenstveno njoj u spomen i svim kastavskim majstorima pekarima sačuvan je ovaj autentični prostor - Idičina pe-knjica - kao jedan od niza malih zavičajnih muzeja u Kastvu. Kastavci osobito pamte tradicionalni pirni kolač koji se ra-dio od slatkog tijesta u obliku vijenca. ambijentalnu cjelinu upotpunjuje i stari lopar, drvena lopata za umetanje i vađe-nje kruha iz krušne peći.

IDICA’S BAKERY – LOCAL ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

the oldest wood-fired oven in Kastav has been preserved in Idica’s Bakery in Pelini, a part of Kastav’s old town. Local women used to bring firewood in bundles from the near-by Loza forest. People in Kastav still remember Ida – Idi-ca Bačić (1890-1975) as an excellent cook and baker who used to bake bread for many years in her bakery in Pelini. In memory of her and other bakers from Kastav, this au-thentic place – Idica’s Bakery – has been preserved as one in the row of local ethnographic museums in Kastav. Peo-ple from Kastav particularly recall the traditional wedding bread which was made from sweet dough in a shape of a wreath. the ambience of the bakery is completed with the old lopar - a wooden paddle for placing and removing the bread from the oven.

IL PANIFICIO DI IDICA – PICCOLO MUSEO ETNOGRAFICO

Il più antico forno a legna di Kastav è stato conservato nel panificio di Idica a Pelini, zona del centro storico di Kastav. Le donne castuane portavano a spalla le fascine di legno dal vicino bosco di Loza. È ancora vivo il ricor-do di Ida-Idica Bačić (1890-1975), eccellente panettiera e cuoca di Kastav, che per molti anni ha cotto il pane nel suo forno di Pelini. Il panificio di Idica è stato conservato a sua memoria e a quella di tutti i mastri fornai castuani e inserito nella serie dei piccoli musei etnografici di Ka-

stav. La popolazione di Kastav (Castua) ricorda in partico-lare il tradizionale dolce matrimoniale che si faceva con un impasto dolce a forma di corona. L’unità ambientale è completata da un vecchio lopar, una pala in legno uti-lizzata per inserire ed estrarre il pane dal forno a legna.

IDICAS BÄCKEREI – KLEINES HEIMATMUSEUM

Der älteste Holzbackofen in Kastav befindet in Idicas Bäc-kerei in Pelini im historischen stadtkern von Kastav. Loka-le Frauen trugen einst Holzbündel aus dem benachbarten Wald Loza hierher. Die lokalen Menschen erinnern sich he-ute noch an eine hervorragende Bäckerin, Ida – Idica Bačić (1890-1975), die viele Jahre lang Brot in ihrer Bäckerei in Pelini backte. zur Erinnerung an sie und alle anderen Bäc-ker von Kastav wurde diese stätte – Idicas Bäckerei – als teil des Heimatmuseums von Kastav erhalten. Die Bewoh-ner von Kastav erinnern sich besonders gerne an den fes-tlichen Kuchen, der aus süßem teig in Form eines Kranzes gebacken wurde. Das ambiente bereichert auch der alte Brotschieber, eine hölzerne schaufel, die zum hineinlegen und herausholen des Brotes aus dem Backofen gebraucht wird.

ski zanatlije - bačvari, kotlari, kovači, stolari bili su nadaleko poznati, a njihovi proizvodi bili na cijeni i izvan Hrvatske.

In the region of Kastav, a part of the north littoral Croatia, developing craftsmanship has been a long tradition. Thus, Kastav become known for its coopers, copper-smiths, sto-nemasons, blacksmiths and others.

Il Castuano / territorio di Kastav - Castua / facente parte del Quarnero e della Croazia già da lungo tempo possiede sviluppato lo spirito dell’artigianato e perciò i suoi bottai, calderai, scalpellini, fabbri, falegnami erano largamente co-nosciuti.

In Kastav war das Handwerk schon immer sehr entwickelt. Die Handwerker aus Kastav – die Fassbinder, Kesselschmi-ede, Eisenschmiede, Tischler waren weitbekannt, und de-ren Produktewaren selbst außerhalb Kroatien begehrt.
