Collaboration with RAIN RFID
Leveraging a growing relationship with the RAIN RFID Alliance community to drive business needs into
GS1 for ongoing maintenance and support of the standards that we maintain (Tag Data Standard,
EPCIS, CBV).
Closer collaboration will create opportunities to grow RAIN membership and GS1 membership around the
world, as a result of increased exposure…and it should result in a broader deployment of GS1 Identity
and a chance for everyone in this room to reduce costs, create better experiences and sell more
stuff.
• From GS1’s perspective, we’ll be more broadly sharing our work on: EPCIS, Web URI identifiers,
Blockchain, Consumer IoT, Registries of identifiers, Identity Authentication Solutions and so on.
