Cedar County Fairbook Changes Summary for 2019 The biggest change, and we hope the most welcomed change, will be the combination of the livestock ID sheets and Pre-entry forms you fill out for the fair. In the past you were required to fill out an Identification form (the ID Sheet) complete with pictures or sketches of your animals, birthdates, ear tag numbers or some form of identification. This was due to our office on June 15. Then a week later you had to turn in your Pre-entry forms telling us what you were bringing to fair. New this year, we developed a new form that has all this information on one form and will be due on June 15. In the past you were able to make family ID sheets and list all the animals on one form with all of the family names. Now, you will have a form for EACH 4-H member and you will need to list ALL animals they might possibly show on each member’s form. You must remember this will be the only form you turn in so make it complete and make sure it is turned in by the deadline. If you need to make a substitution, you will be able to from the extra animals you listed and then call us to make the change. We will NOT be able to make exceptions or follow-ups because we only have one deadline. If you have questions - please ask ahead of time. Another change that will be different for some is the supporting information in the Home Environment areas. We no longer require supporting information for Design My Place, Let’s Create Crafts/Celebrate Arts, and non-state fair exhibits in Design Decisions. We encourage youth to interview judge or still fill the form out as it will help the judge know what you were doing or tell your story. Exhibits eligible for State Fair will still need all supporting information required or will not be eligible for State Fair. • Premium Recognition will require you to participate in showmanship to be eligible for the extra premium. Thank you’s

will need to be presented before the check is received.
