The Way

Wednesday, August 22 beginning at 6:30 PM In the Parish Center

The Way is a powerful and inspirational story about family, friends and the challenges we face while navigating this ever-changing and complicated world. Martin Sheen plays Tom, an irascible American doctor who comes to France to deal with the tragic loss of his son, played by Emilio Estevez. Rather than return home, Tom decides to embark on the historical pilgrimage, "The Way of St. James," to honor his son's desire to finish the journey. What Tom doesn't plan on is the profound impact this trip will have on him. Through unexpected and oftentimes amusing experiences along The Way, Tom discovers the difference between "the life we live and the life we choose.” Bring your own comfortable cushion, lounge chair, etc. Snacks will be available for purchase.

The Chapel Outreach Program

now through Labor Day weekend

This year, the Trustees have elected to support the Afghan Child Project or ACP www.afghanchildproject.org . Boxes

will be provided for the purpose of collecting stuffed animals to be sent to our contact to distribute. As it is quite difficult to

reach many of the hospitals and orphanages in some remote areas of Afghanistan due to heightened security check points, ACP has come up with the idea of “Mr. Bunny.” He hops out of his armored truck and distributes stuffed animals to the children

whose smiles prove the worthiness of this effort.

Please encourage your children or grandchildren to stop in and look at the photographs.

All events are free and open to the public.
