Firmware upgrade

ATTENTION

1. Be sure to back up important files and applications before upgrade.

2. If this is your first time to upgrade firmware, you need to install the driver into the computer.

See the procedure to install the driver below.

1. Click [Start] of your computer left lower side of screen Control Panel Hardware and Sound Devices and

Printers Device Manager. If you see [ USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) ] as seen below, Choose it and

click the right button of mouse. Choose [Uninstall] and click OK. If there is no message for [ USB

Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) ], just go to step 2.

2. Extract the firmware upgrade tool and install it into your computer.

3. When the pop-up shows as seen below, click the second one in red, which is [Install this driver software anyway].

4. Click [Start] of your computer left lower side of screen Control Panel Hardware and Sound Devices and

Printers Device Manager. You will see [ USB Device(VID_1f3a_PID_efe8) ] as seen below.

5. Be sure to turn off the device and connect it with the computer, using USB cable.

6. Click [Start] of your computer left lower side of screen Control Panel Hardware and Sound Devices and

Printers Device Manager. You will [ Unknown Device] as seen below.

7. Choose [ Unknown Device] and click the right button of mouse.

Click [Update Driver Software], then you will see screen below. Click lower one below.

8. Browse [UsbDriver] folder of firmware upgrade tool and click [Next].

9. Then, the driver will be installed into the computer. When the pop-up shows as seen below, click the second one in red, which is [Install this driver software anyway].

10. Disconnct the device from the computer. Be sure to check the device power off.

11. Run [LiveSuit] of firmware upgrade tool below.

12. Click [Selectimg] to upload a firmware file.

13. Go to [TX82 4.0 firmware] folder and click [Open]

14. Be sure to check the device power off. Hold pressing [volume +] button and connect the device with the

computer. Do not take off [volume +] button. Still with pressing [volume +], press [POWER] button 9 or 10 times,

then you will see the pop-up screen below. If the pop-up does not display, continue to press [POWER] button

some more times until it appears.

15. Click [Yes] to begin firmware upgrade, then the upgrade is in progress below.

16. After completing upgrade, you will see below. Click [OK].

Turn on the device and check the device working fine. The booting may be slow right after upgrade.
