5th Sunday Contribution Benevolence

The Booneville congregation has such a loving spirit when it comes to meeting the needs of those around us! We see this in the meals that are provided for families following the funerals of their loved ones. We see this in the food brought for use in the Food Pantry. We see this in the meals that have been so lovingly prepared and delivered by those working with the caring cooks. It is seen in our ongoing support of the Pinevale Children’s Home.

Your 5th Sunday donations designated for Benevolence have through the years given this con-gregation extra resources to respond to hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and other disasters. In addition these funds have been used to help individuals with medicine, food, temporary shel-ter, gas money for medical visits, etc. It has given us extra resources to do good works so that God could be glorified.

Please prayerfully consider being generous in this Sunday’s contribution. Since the Corid-19 vi-rus preventive measures and the directives from the City Council and State Governor are caus-ing us to worship in small groups at home instead of assembling together at the building, we have had to use different ways to get our contribution to the church treasury. You may:

Mail your check (no cash please) to the church: Booneville church of Christ, Attn: Billy Mar-tin, P.O. Box 28, Booneville, MS

Carry your contribution to Billy Martin at First American National Bank. Place your contri-bution in an envelope marked, “Booneville Church of Christ – Attention Billy Martin.” You may give this to the teller at the drive through window.

We do not fully recognize the benevolent needs nor the opportunity to reach out to families in our community that this Covid-19 pandemic will produce. It is reasonable to predict that the benevolent opportunities for the Booneville congregation will be greater than we have ever seen in our lifetimes. Thank you for all you do for God’s glory.

Weekly Food Pantry item is: sugar Food Pantry and Clothes Closet will be open April 9 and 16

To the church family: The elders have decided that we will not use our building for assemblies for the immediate future. This decision is driven by two things.

For our health and the health of others, we do not want to facilitate the spreading of the Covid-19 virus. The president has requested, and the governor and the Booneville city council have directed that there be no gatherings of 10 or more people. These, too, are in the interest of public health.

Worship of God must continue! As we are isolated in our homes, the Booneville congregation plans to live stream a worship service using a very limited (less than 10) number of members each Sunday morning starting at 10:30 AM. We also plan to live stream a class at 7:00 PM on Wednesday nights. We hope this tool will aid you in your worship and Bible study. Our worship through giving needs to continue. Following are ways to continue to contribute:

Mail your check (no cash please) to the church: Booneville church of Christ, Attn: Billy Martin, P.O. Box 28, Boone-ville, MS

Carry your contribution to Billy Martin at First American National Bank. Place your contribution in an envelope marked, “Booneville Church of Christ – Attention Billy Martin.” You may give this to the teller at the drive through window.

Let’s all continue to pray for an end to this vi-rus pandemic. Jim Estes for the Booneville elders
