On this date it was located back in the roadway and I again knocked on the front door and rang the doorbell with no one answering. As I was writing a note to the resident to keep it out of the roadway the mother at the residence opened the front door. She immediately was upset that I was there and after telling her that I had moved it into the yard she said I should have left a note that she assumed a neighbor had moved it so they placed it back in the road. She was told it was illegal to have the goal system inthe roadway and that I was writing her a note when she opened the door to speak with me so that they knew it was illegal and that public works could be notified to remove it if the violation continues. She stated her sons use it to play basketball in the street and that she would have it removed. I then went to leave and she went back in. As I began to pull off I observed her standing back on the front porch so I asked if she needed anything else at which time she said "no" that she was speaking to her husband and I pulled away at that point.

On 04/23/2019 at 10:38 hours, PIT McMahan (61444) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 2405 E 5th St at the victim's home. The victim said that he last had his wallet in the glovebox of his vehicle, which he left parked at home last Saturday around 12 or 1 pm. He said that his wife later went back out to the vehicle later that day around 5 or 6 pm but he's not sure if she left it locked up. The vehicle then remained parked there overnight and he drove it to Walmart the next day (Sunday), but he never got the wallet out of the glovebox or checked for it. He then came back home and the vehicle was parked overnight again and on Monday around 10:30 or 11 am, he discovered that the wallet was gone. He said that it had to have been stolen because he never got the wallet out of the glove box. Also, he said that there was no damage to the vehicle. This report was taken by phone.
