Become an Online Engagement Master (Deep dive—training for trainers) Master - and teach others to use - the Move to Amend outreach systems. Get oriented to the new outreach system--called HIVE*, learn how to find supporters in your area, create email blasts, get the most out of your affiliate web pages, apply social media best practices, and more.

This session is designed for everyone, regardless of computer proficiency. Even if you aren’t primarily responsible for identifying volunteers or sending out emails, you can join and find out what is possible with our new system.

Workshop fee includes lunch and dinner.

* HIVE--Helping Interested Volunteers Engage -- will replace NationBuilder in 2016. It is based on the open-source CiviCRM.org system.

Grantmakers concerned with fostering a healthy democracy are invited to reflect on the new strategic plan, draw connections between their work and the struggle against corporate constitutional rights.

This interactive session will help make sure you’re prepared for Monday’s lobby session with your Representatives and Senators and will offer what you need to follow up when you’re back in their home district as well. We will also offer resources to help you train others on your team back home as you lobby state and federal representatives to take the Pledge to Amend and sponsor We the People Amendment legislation.

People’s Movement Assembly: Visioning a Democratic Constitution. Have you ever been part of a People’s Movement Assembly (PMA) process? Real democracy will require a movement that goes well beyond the "We the People" amendment and there's no time like ASAP to start visioning the steps to get there. Join a profound and lively discussion about our current political moment and what’s needed for the future we envision. Learn how to conduct a participatory PMA process. This discussion will be used to draw out themes of consensus in Move to Amend for the plan beyond passing the “We the People” Amendment.

from Broward County, Florida

Ilene Singer, of Tamarac, Florida, formerly of Detroit, died April 20, 2016 at the age of 73. She was the beloved daughter of the late Martin and the late Esther Singer. Dear sister of Leonard (Carol) Singer and the late Dr. Myron (the late Diane) Singer. Cherished aunt of Dr. Robert (Amy) Singer, Brian (Donna) Singer, Dan (Debbie) Singer, Matthew (Marta) Singer and Sara Singer. Also survived by loving great-nieces and great-nephews. She was interred at Machpelah Cemetery in Ferndale, MI on April 22, 2016.
