Welcome to the 49th All-American Dairy Show! Several new attractions and events are planned this year. “The All-American Dairy Show continues to freshen its activities and events for exhibitors, year after year,” said Agriculture Secretary George Greig. “It’s exciting to bring attention to Pennsylvania’s dairy industry and recognize our youth, who are top priorities for show staff and volunteers.” New awards For the first time, supreme champion heifer honors will be given in the Premier National Junior Show and All-American Dairy Show. The youth show winner will receive the Samuel G. Yoder crystal star and $500 sponsored by the American, Junior American and Mid- Atlantic Milking Shorthorn societies and the AMSS Syndicate. The award will be presented in the Supreme Champion Pageant Monday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 p.m. The open show supreme champion heifer pageant is Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. The $750 award is sponsored by Kingsley Blasco Insurance. The webcasts will be presented by Holstein Productions at www.allamerican.state.pa.us or www.lancasterfarming.com. Kyler Heiney, Jaydyn Isiminger, Jordyn Griffin and Elizabeth Stoltzfus won a photo contest held earlier this year online at the Premier National Junior Events Facebook page. Welcome to the 49th All-American Dairy Show! Several new attractions and events are planned this year.

New awardsFor the first time, supreme champion heifer

Premier National Junior Show Check-In

• Check-in for all seven national junior breed shows will be held in the Cameron Street Lobby beginning at 9 a.m.

• If you show more than one animal or breed, you may need to secure a substitute show person in the event that two animals are in the show ring at the same time.

• Alternate leadsperson forms must be turned into the dairy office by 5 p.m. unless otherwise stated in the Premium List

• Review the 2012 AADS Premium List as National Junior Breed show rules will be strictly enforced.

• If you are not a national junior breed member, ask for a membership application at check-in.

• Be sure to bring your registration papers and vet check cards to check-in.

Youth Networking Social and Pizza Party

• All youth are invited to attend this event to be held at 6 p.m. in the Small (Sale) Arena.
