ScienceObjectives: By the end of the syllabus student will be able to: Explain the function of cells, tissues, organs and be aware of these functions in the human
body. Locate and describe the function of some important bones from a given diagram of the human
skeleton. Explain what joints are and locate them on their own body. Identify the three types of muscle and explain their working. Explain ways to maintain healthy bones. Recognize the importance of having healthy teeth and describe ways of achieving this. Describe a balanced diet give examples of different foods with their nutrients e.g.
grains are a source of carbohydrates, meat is a source of protein etc. Interpret the food pyramid to recognize the food value.

Activities: Find out what safety equipment is used by motorcyclists and athletes to safeguard their bones. Make a list of the kinds of food you eat. Which of the foods would it be difficult to eat without

Students will make a food pyramid using a card paper and pictures of different groups of food. Students will bring healthy food in the class (salad and sandwich), then students will
