Set induction(5 minutes)Activity :Ant Musical Chair1. Teacher sets out 6 ant shapes on the floor in circle.2. Teacher plays the song The Ants Go Marching and instructs the pupils to walk around the circle of ants.3. Teacher stops the music and asks the pupils to race to their ant shapes. 4. The student who failed to stand on an ant shape will be eliminated.5. Teacher continues the game for a couple of rounds until the last pupil win.

Presentation(15 minutes)Activity :Singing the Ants Go Marching song.

1. Teacher asks the pupils to open their textbook page 112 and reads the lyric of the song The Ants Go Marching.2. Teacher explains a few words on the lyric such as marching, parade and hopping.3. Teacher asks the students to listen to the song.4. Teacher encourages pupils to sing the song.5. Teacher sings the song with action and asks the pupils to watch.6. Teacher asks the pupils to sing the song with action.

Rationale : To correct and enhance pupils pronunciation and to elicit response from them about the song by using action to express the lyric.

1. Teacher pastes word cards around the class.2. Teacher explains that pupils are going to play a Words Hunting game.3. Teacher plays the song and pauses it at a certain word. Pupils will have to find and race to the words.4. Teacher repeats the steps by pausing the song at other words.Teaching aids :Word cards.
