ASSET TALENT SEARCH COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS
O n 24 January 2016, I appeared for the
Asset Talent Search test in Mumbai which was
organized by Educational Initiatives (EI) along with North Western
University. This is a pan-India assessment test. The students are
assessed according to their grades in English, Mathematics and Science.
I am extremely happy that I did very well in Mathematics scoring 96.4% and
have been identified as a National Talent Scholar. I have qualified to attend a
three week summer camp in Bangalore in May 2016 to be organized by EI in
collaboration with North Western University.
Due to my high score
I have also qualified to attend the Summer Institute for the Gifted (SIG) offered by the National Society for the
Gifted and Talented (NSGT)- USA. These programs are offered on the campuses of top Universities like
Princeton, Yale & UC Berkeley.
In addition, I have also qualified to the Northwestern University Centre for Talent Development's Spectrum
Program in the USA.
I am also qualified for Purdue University GERI's STAR Program which is a residence program at Purdue.
This success has ignited the desire in me to work harder and reach greater heights.

Trip to Nehru Science Centre
O n the 1st of April, 2016, students or Grades 8 and 9 embarked on a trip to the
scholastic Nehru Science Centre, Worli. En route, we chirruped into lively chatter on the bus.
Once there, we jumped out of the bus in impatience and soon met the person who was going to assist and
guide us. He showed us the way to the Centre, where we played many different science-related games and we
even saw a 3D film on endangered species. We learned about various science laws and about some great
physicists. We even saw a short film on skydivers and how Leonardo da Vinci came up with the discovery of
parachutes. The experience was very inspiring and it kindled our curiosity to know more and more. The trip
whetted our appetite to learn and understand science in its varied forms. I would like to thank our teachers for
taking us there. We wish for similar trips in the future.

Month 2015-16
MYP On first April, 2016, grades 8 and 9 set off to the Nehru Science Centre which is
situated in Worli. Once we reached the centre, we went for a show that showed the effects of
pollution, global warming and deforestation on wildlife.
The exhibit galleries were real fun and exciting as we found out about several things like the grand shuttle,
electric shock, touch the lightning, the braille system, hot and cold, senses of taste and smell, pin screen,
invention of the wheel, shapes in nature, tiling quiz, flow pattern, size and distance, impossible mixture, amazing
shadows, which one is heavier, liquid painting, xylophone, walk on piano, virtual harp and noise of music. Many
of the displays were quite interactive which made the experience enriching. We also saw another short film on
an adrenaline rush. At around I p.m. we had to bid farewell to the Nehru science centre.
