Singapore-Paro, BhutanDay 01Upon arrival at the Paro airport you will be greeted by our representative. Later head to Thimphu, capital of Bhutan. Begin tour by visiting Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Point), the siting Buddha statue which is 51.5 meters high. Continue proceed to the National Memorial Chorten, a stupa conceptualized by the Third King to ward off negative influences. Afterwards, we will continue with a visit to the Bhutan Postal Museum Post Office where you can pay by your own expenses to make your very own stamps. Then go to visit Tashichho Dzong, is a Buddhist monastery and the head of Bhutan’s civil government. View of Parliament House located opposite of Tashichho Dzong.

Thimphu-Punakha-ThimphuDay 02After Breakfast, proceed to Punakha across Dochula Pass (3150m). This hill of 108 religious buildings in the middle of the pass reflects Bhutan’s spiritual and artistic traditions. Continue your drive to Punakha Valley and enjoy the picnic lunch at punakha river. Thereafter visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup nunnery, this is a temple plus nunnery perched on a ridge, you can overlooking Punakha and Wangduephodrang valleys right here. Later proceed to Punakha Dzong, is located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu (father) and Mo Chuu (mother) rivers in the Punakha-Wangdue valley. Afterwards we continue to the longest suspension bridge in Bhutan built above the Po Chu river name as Punakha Suspension Bridge. Enroot visit Chimi Lhakhang, the auspicious fertility monastery built in 1949, which is located on top of a small hill.

Thimphu-ParoDay 03Today we will continue to explore Thimphu then proceed to Paro. First is visit to National Textile Museum to learn about Bhutan’s living national art of weaving. Next to visit Motithang Takin Preserve (Mini Zoo) a wildlife reserve area for Takin, the National animal of Bhutan. After that, we will head to Bhutan Traditional Handmade Paper Factory. The paper factory continues to preserve and promote this age-old Bhutanese tradition. Then we continue drive to Paro.

Today Journey of life time, take a mountain hike to Taktsang Monastery – ‘Tiger’s Nest (Pony ride own Expenses-USD40 per pony one way up to half hill). The hikes up to the view point will take about 1 1/2 hours and from there you will enjoy a spectacular view of the monastery clinging to the side of the cliff. The walk further up to the monastery which will take about 1 hour. After climb down from Tiger’s Nest continue your sightseeing of Kyichu Lhakang, the first and oldest temple of the Bhutan, which the place where the famous Hong Kong actor Tony Leong held their wedding ceremony. Evening enjoy cultural dance show & try dress up in Bhutanese traditional costume for photo shoot in – ‘Gho and Kira’, snacks and drinks will be served.
