occur in the agencys day-to-day functioning may necessitate
position realignment every few month or year. Therefore, the
departements table of organization should be updated annualy and
circulated to all members of the departement. The prinpical purpose
for defining and updating the organization diagram is to clarify
chain of command, span of control, offical communication channels,
and liaison links for all departement personnel. Ideally the formal
organization should legislate relationships so the effotrs of each
employee complement and augment group efforts and work-related
information is transmitted accurately and rapidly throughout the
organization
