the beautiful village of Boscastle in North Cornwall.

Nestled in a secluded valley, we have a thirteen

bedroom establishment catering for walkers, cyclists, day trippers or holiday breaks. In

addition, overlooking the River Valency, the Riverside’s restaurant and tea garden is a great spot to relax with family and friends. We offer

teas, coffees, lunches, cakes, homemade Cornish cream teas and evening meals.

November 2016 with the prestigious Breakfast award. The Riverside is rated by VisitEngland as a five star guesthouse but is offering many of the services of a hotel. This is the tenth year that we

The Riverside is situated in Boscastle, one of the picturesque parts of North Cornwall in the Southwest which is nationally recognised as being wonderful for its scenic quality. Situated along the River Valency, The Riverside has many spacious rooms with river or harbour views. One of the most dominating features of Boscastle is the Valency Valley with the tree canopy harbouring a magnificent landscape. Within the valley, the River Valency flows down from Marshgate, past The Riverside's secluded garden and on to the harbour in Boscastle. The village lies within a conservation area amongst some of the most beautiful countryside within the British Isles and is one of the few remaining unspoilt harbour villages in Cornwall.

the perfect escape... Begin your journey and head towards the Southwest region. North Cornwall is signposted on all major routes along the A30 and A39 and Boscastle is signposted thereafter. Entering the village of Boscastle, The Riverside can be found in the harbour area on the bridge next to the River Valency.

We suggest you use the large pay and display car park which is fifty meters from The Riverside. The car park does not have an overnight charge, charging 10:00 until 5:00pm daily. For convenience, if you prefer to leave the car and take to the coastal path or by bus, a 24 hour ticket is around £5.20 but hourly and weekly tickets are available.

The Riverside is only five minutes from the Southwest coastal path and is situated at the heart of the village. We are adjacent to all amenities and only minutes walk away from the Elizabethan Harbour.

The Riverside offers a choice of services when it comes to its restaurant. For a formal affair with the evening restaurant set-up elegantly for a superb dining experience, you can choose from an à la carte menu with exceptional food complemented by an extensive list of fine wines. Alternatively, the daytime tearoom is perfect for informal lunches, meals and afternoon teas. Leading from the dining room is access to our exclusive tea garden next to the running waters of the River Valency. The restaurant is open seven days a week between 8:30am until 9:00pm serving food all day long. Our daytime menu is served until 6:00pm when the evening service begins. Opening times in the winter may vary and are available on our website or by contacting Reception.

traditional Sunday carvery...

Every Sunday afternoon we offer a traditional carvery with a choice of four local meats and up to seven fresh vegetables, homemade Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and gravy for £8.95. It is best to book early to avoid disappointment. Served from 12:00pm until 3:00pm.

Prices are charged per person per night and are inclusive of breakfast and taxes:

For one night stays, there is a supplement of £5.00 per room. We are able to accommodate single occupancy groups such as walking parties.
