Dear Friends,

Passover is right around the corner! During this time, we eat matzah and unleavened products to relive the experience of our ancestors: the haste of leaving Egypt with no time for our bread to rise and leaving the bitterness of slavery to be a free people. G-d, with an outstretch arm, brought us from darkness to light, and we are commanded to re-enact this voyage as if “we ourselves hurriedly left Egypt.” Jewish families conduct a Seder in their homes to retell the story so that every generation knows and understands its significance to the Jewish people. Passover is also about renewal. It takes place in the spring when the buds of new growth are showing from the darkness of winter. To renew ourselves, we do spring cleaning, take out our spring wardrobe and get back in shape for swimsuit season. This is the perfect time to maximize your time spent here at the J!Recent months have seen a series of threats to JCCs throughout North America. It is clear that these hoaxes were intended to frighten people and disrupt operations. The JCA has been working closely with FBI, Homeland Security and local law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and comfort of our members. We take your security seriously. Our staff is trained to put in place our protocols and procedures to face these challenges. We are grateful for the support and love bestowed upon us from our community. The outpouring has been amazing. An assault on any of our liberties is an assault on democracy itself and our American way of life. We stand shoulder to shoulder against bigotry, intolerance and discrimination. The JCA is a vibrant asset that serves our entire community in a multitude of ways. Every week, thousands pass through our doors for scores of activities and programs. We are grateful for your trust and support. We will not let you down!

Sincerely,
